Racing expert, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three racing tips for the Dubbo race meetings. Good luck, punters.
Dubbo R3 – Mdn Hcp 1400m
This is a really interesting race. The former Gai and Adrian trained VIVENZO has been switched to Rod Northam’s stable and is 3rd up here. Looks ready to dash and has been backed. But I think DRIVING FORCE can run it down. It took a few starts for connections to work him out and they seem to have now. Drop him out, let him go to sleep and watch him sprout wings late. Significantly, he is on his home track fort he first time today, a track that suits swoops. Should be flying home past them all. Quinella with Vivenzo.
Dubbo R9 – $100,000 Dubbo Cup 1600m
I know there is money around for READY TO HUMBLE and that top tipster Mick Wallace is on AESOP’S FABLE, but I’m going against all that in tipping RULE THE WORLD. He has had no luck in three city runs this time up finishing just behind the placegetters with big weights. He is 4th up now, this looks like it has been his targeted race all along, and should run home very boldly. Maybe quinella him up in a box with the other pair.
Dubbo R10 – Cl 2 Plate 1100m
A couple of things here really make me want to back BOOM BOOM BASIl. He is lightly raced and won two races already, significantly to note, both those wins have been at this track. And both of them occurred when he was resuming. He resumes here in this. The draw isn’t going to help but he is a come from behind type so probably drops out to find cover. Long straight suits a great deal. Is trained here also. Respect all that.
