Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s race meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Mornington and  Nowra. Good luck, punters!

Interesting encounter. On paper and mapping it does look a put in take out event with AMUNGEE leading all the way. She is well bred, has great gate speed, is getting better with racing and has been sensationally backed overnight. If you see $1.80 or better, it might be prudent to just have a good go at her. GISELLE ANNE is 2nd up and could sneak home into a place for quinella players.

Good race. I think the way the Mark Newnham stable is travelling at present, he can continue the roll here with a win by SHEWILLBRING. The filly was 5th on debut at Newcastle and looked all at sea, so the experience will help her greatly. Plus, she’s by Sebring, a sire noted for producing wet-trackers and it will still be damp underfoot today.  Big show for mine with LINDEN TREE the 2nd choice for the quinella..

Because MISCHIEVOUS LAD is a back marker, the outside draw is of no concern here. He should jump away, allow the others to roll, use no juice and be parked in behind them all until they swing. He should be given how many recent runs he’s had, the fittest horse in the field so he can make a long sustained run. I see him swamping them late. He does have several placings at this level. And to be fair, this isn’t an overly strong bunch for this grade.  Good each way bet with perhaps the toppie, CELERITATE REGEM thrown in for the quinella play.
