Rail Position: out 3m entire circuit
OSLO is overdue for a win. Raced twice last campaign and was runner-up once. The previous campaign, raced twice and both times was runner-up. Trialled nicely and with the 3kg claim, does look the one to beat.
Bush trained QUATUM is on debut here. Down from Murwillumbah. That tells you quite a bit about how good he might be. Respect.
GARRISON has ability. Has placed in town but has also run some shockers. Not started since January when beaten 3 lengths this grade. Has since trialled a few times, winning once, and when he did resume at Newcastle last start he was on pace all way when beaten 2 lengths.Watch market.
Lots of chances here. MATOWATAKPE is so consistent and honest and this grade appeals a great deal. Was a sound winner two starts back then up in class a fair way when a bold 6th last start. Gets a Louise Day 3kg weight allowance and does rate very highly. Drawn perfectly too.
BLESK rises a very long way in class here but he has finishing power. Has won 2 of 5 starts to date, latest last start at Goulburn when resuming. He absolutely stormed home from near last. Have in your numbers.
CELANDINE resumed last start and came home hard to win slightly easier race. And she raced well placing twice when last in work in maidens as well, won by horses who have gone on with it. Has claims.
LADY HIGHLY has wheels but is inconsistent. Ran on gamely for 6th in a stronger race last start. Four runs back scored at this level so must be considered.
EUGENIO has struck a purple patch of form winning 2 of past 3. Drawn to settle just off speed and is super fit. Bound to run on. If he has improved further he wins this.
TRISKANA is a very promising filly rising in class here. Was a last start Goulburn winner and start before that was a provincial winner. She was backed as if very smart and duly won quite comfortably at Goulburn This is harder but she has gears. Big show.
Tip: LADY HIGHLY
Tough race here because each of them has claims. TRAVANCORE is back in form and may be back to his best. Got back at this level and stormed home for 2nd last start. That was his 2nd x 2nd placing on the bounce so deserves a change of luck.
SEEINGISBELIEVING is 3rd up here. Sits up on speed and fights hard. Is honest at this level and is very fit now. Won first up and was game 4th last start.
SHOWMINDER is fast and fit and tough. Probably leads these. Ran 3rd at past two runs after leading. Have in your numbers.
Good betting race. This bloke ROYAL BANQUET may be a rising star. He has raced 4 times thus far winning his past 3 on the bounce and seems to be getting better every time he rises in grade. Is in the city for the first time here but seems very strong.
Similarly SYNCLINE. drawn wide but has won past two in grand style. Seems to have finishing power. Have in your numbers.
BERGEN comes into play here with the 3kg claim. Hasn’t been at his best this time up but is fit now and down in class.
Tip: ROYAL BANQUET
Down in grade and on her home track, with a 3kg weight allowance, makes THREEOOD a major threat here. She has been up a long time but is holding form and a drop in class here will suit. Last time at this level she bolted in.
SO WICKED is very close to a win. Has had two starts this time up and rattled home for a placing this grade last start. Very fit now. Big show.
Her stablemate, LIARA, is quite talented too and after a game and luckless 3rd first up this grade, when just beaten, she should be much fitter also. Awkwardly drawn but has wheels.
NICOCHET is smart and hits the line hard. Loves this grade and is on home track. Trialled very well. Big chance.
ACCELERATO is also trained here and also in sparkling form. Hits the line hard and recent form says today is a day to have in your numbers. Watch the market moves.
FRONT MONEY is lightly raced and up a long way in grade but seems to have a lot of talent. Great 2nd when resuming. Will finish hard.
