Form analyst, JUSTIN DEVINE, previews Sunday’s meeting at Sha Tin, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 10 races on the card. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good

Rail Position: True, entire circuit

Sha Tin R1 – Class 4 2000m

15:45 (AEST)

The opening race is a bit of a lottery. DYNAMIC EAGLE found the line strongly from the rear over 1800m last start and should sit closer in the run from a better gate. He will appreciate the step up to 2000m and be hard to hold out. MAGNETISM has won at his only attempt over the 2000m and is better than his recent form suggests. He can feature at odds with the 3kg claim. EXALTATION is a 21 start maiden who gets in with no weight and has Joao Moreira onboard. Include in exotics.

Sha Tin R2 – Class 4 1200m

16:15 (AEST)

First starter HARMONY N BLESSED has won his last three trials and has been well backed since markets opened. Expect him to be hard to beat. EVERYONE’S DELIGHT won well on debut and followed up with a nice run for second. With race experience and Zac Purton he is the main danger to the favourite. CLASSIC POSH has drawn well and drops back to class 4 grade. A winner from outside these three would surprise.

Sha Tin R3 – The Jockey Club Mile G2 1600m

16:45 (AEST)

The superstar GOLDEN SIXTY should bring up his 13th win at start 14 here. He was too good for his rivals in the Sha Tin Trophy last start and should repeat the dose today. KA YING STAR chased home GOLDEN SIXTY for second last time and can do the same again. MIGHTY GIANT has been racing well and makes his Group debut here. He can go well and will be better for the experience.

Sha Tin R4 – Class 4 1400m

17:15 (AEST)

WONDER EXPRESS has to settle at the rear of the field from a horror draw last start and flashed home in the straight to finish less than two lengths behind the winner. From gate 1 today Alexis Badel can sit much closer in the run and he will be hard to hold out with 52kgs. The best each way bet on the card. TRIPLE TRIPLE was beaten by a length last start and has trialled well since. He will run well. HALL OF CHAMP is another who will take benefit from his first up run and looks a likely improver.

Sha Tin R5 – The Jockey Club Sprint G2 1200m

18:05 (AEST)

COMPUTER PATCH looks to be on an upward form trend and will get all the favours from gate 1. He will be hard to hold out. HOT KING PRAWN was disappointing first up and is expected to improve with the Magic Man retaining the ride. RATTAN has drawn to stalk the more fancied runners throughout the run and is capable of finishing strongly off a fast tempo. He is the knockout chance.

Sha Tin R6 – Class 2 1800m

18:40 (AEST)

LAKESHORE EAGLE finished last season off with a hat trick of wins and will strip fitter for an OK first up run. He has a good second up record and has drawn well in gate 1. Ex Australian galloper, ELITE PATCH won well on Hong Kong debut at double figure odds and can go on with the job, while French galloper PACKING WALTHAM showed enough last start to suggest he will be winning races in the future.

Sha Tin R7 – The Jockey Club Cup 2000m

19:10 (AEST)

This looks a match race between EXULTANT and FURORE. The pair battled out the finish in the Group 3 Ladies Purse with FURORE proving too strong in the run home. Interestingly, on that occasion FURORE was second up while EXULTANT was first up. Race fitness looked the difference then and EXULTANT will be better for the run and can turn the tables up to 2000m today. He is a star and my best bet of the day. FURORE will keep him honest throughout, while last start winner COLUMBUS COUNTY can add some spice into exotics.

Sha Tin R8 – Class 3 1200m

19:40 (AEST)

MIGHTY VALOR was far too good for his rivals first up and despite the class jump and poor gate he can win again. Ex Irish galloper ROMAN TURBO can improve second up in Hong Kong after finishing third last start, and has drawn to do no work in the run. TRANSCEDENT run on well from the rear last time and can improve at double figure odds.

Sha Tin R9 – Class 3 1400m

20:15 (AEST)

Ex Australian LUCKY PATCH won well on his Hong Kong debut at nice odds, bringing his career tally to three from three. There is no reason why he won’t be competitive tonight in an open race. HEZA BEAUTY is racing consistently and will be partnered by the in form Neil Callan. Expect him to close strongly. THE HULK hasn’t won in two years, but has recorded back to back placings and must be respected.

Sha Tin R10 – Class 2 1200m

20:50 (AEST)

The unbeaten WINNING DREAMER continues to improve and from gate 1 he ticks all the boxes again. CALIFORNIA RAD has five wins and three placings from his last eight runs and will make the favourite earn his win. VICTORIAM drops back in grade and has won three times over the 1200m at Sha Tin. He is one to include in exotics at a nice price with Zac to ride.
