Form analyst, JUSTIN DEVINE, previews Sunday’s meeting at Sha Tin, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 10 races on the card. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good

Rail Position: True, entire circuit

Sha Tin R1 – Class 4 1200m AWT

16:00 (AEST)

UNTOLD RICHES was beaten less than a length at his only race start last September and has put in a couple of recent eye-catching trials. The money suggests he is ready to fire first up. RESOLUTE has recorded back to back placings and can make a race of it from gate 1. THOU SHALL SING is a three-time track and distance winner and is dropping back in class. Keep safe.

Sha Tin R2 – Class 2 2000m

16:30 (AEST)

PANFIELD is working towards his first Hong Kong win and has won over 2400m in Chile. He will get the trip and is going to be hard to hold out. CHARITY GO has been very consistent of late and will find the line strongly from the rear. BUTTERFIELD has finished within two lengths of the winner at his last four runs and has the benefit of a 3kg claim this week. He is capable of winning at nice odds.

Sha Tin R3 – The Queens’s Jubilee Cup Group 1 1400m

17:00 (AEST)

The first Group 1 of the day looks a two-horse race. SOUTHERN LEGEND nearly upset the superstar GOLDEN SIXTY over 1600m last start and drops back to 1400m today. WAIKUKU finished a further two lengths back in that race but has a terrific 1400m record at Sha Tin of three wins from four starts. They are the class runners in the race and I’m with WAIKUKU due too his superior record over the trip. MIGHTY GIANT is another who will appreciate the 1400m and has drawn to sneak the minor end of the prize.

Sha Tin R4 – Class 4 1800m

17:35 (AEST)

EZRA has recorded back to back placings at the track and distance and Joao Moreira rides for the first time. He is the clear top pick. FAST PACE steps up to 1800m for the first time after some good performances over the 1650m and must be respected. EXALTATION has been second at his last three runs and drops back down in distance. He will run well but doesn’t win out of turn.

Sha Tin R5 – Class 4 1400m

18:05 (AEST)

CHARITY GRACE charged home from the rear of the field to finish second last start and can sit closer to the lead this week with a better gate. This looks like his race and he is the best bet on the card. MASTER HERO defeated MASTER HERO last start after getting all the favours in the run and will be thereabouts despite the step up in weight. CASA KINGDOM put in an improved run last start and is another who will be running on strongly. He is one to include in exotics at big odds.

Sha Tin R6 – Class 3 1200m AWT

18:35 (AEST)

LUCKY FUN has been impressive winning his last two and Zac Purton retains the ride. He ticks all the boxes. SUPER ALLIANCES is a three-time winner on the dirt and has been just out of the placings at his last two runs. He can improve into the placings. MEGA HEART drops back to class 3 grade and from gate 1 with the 3kg claim, he must be respected. It would be a surprise to say anything outside these three get the prize.

Sha Tin R7 – The Citi Hong Kong Gold Cup Group 1 2000m

19:05 (AEST)

The Hong Kong superstar GOLDEN SIXTY goes around a short-priced favourite and bad luck looks his main danger. He has won 15 out of 16 and won well at his only 2000m start last year. EXULTANT is giving the impression of late that he is looking for the 2000m and he will keep the favourite honest. While not in the same class as the top two, FURORE will run an honest race and is one to include in exotics.

Sha Tin R8 – Class 2 1200m AWT

19:40 (AEST)

WILL POWER has won five times on the dirt and has placed at his last two runs. He will get all the favours from gate 4 for Karis Teetan and is the one to beat. ENCORE BOY has been freshened up since his last start and is the danger from a nice gate. CZARSON has done little on the track of late but is sure to be well supported after a good trial and Zac Purton to steer. He is one to watch.

Sha Tin R9 – The Hong Kong Classic Cup 1800m

20:15 (AEST)

EXCELLENT PROPOSAL won the Hong Kong Mile impressively and looks ready for the step up to 1800m this week. He can go on with the job. TOURBILLON DIAMOND is another who will appreciate the extra distance and he will get a much softer run in transit from gate 3. The pair look set to battle out the finish. LUCKY PATCH hasn’t run a bad race since moving to Hong Kong and he will once again run well.

Sha Tin R10 – Class 3 1400m

20:50 (AEST)

PRIME MINISTER is starting to show the form that saw him win four races in NZ and he looks ready to win after a couple of good placings. He is the best each-way bet on the card. BELUGA will get back early and find the line well. He can win if the tempo is strong. LEWIS has narrowly beaten two runs back and the 3kg claim brings him into calculations.
