Form analyst, JUSTIN DEVINE, previews Sunday’s meeting at Sha Tin, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 10 races on the card. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good

Rail Position: True, entire circuit

Sha Tin R1 – Class 4 1200m

16:00 (AEST)

A tough race to start the day with the majority of the field either lightly raced or having their first start. LUCKY FUN ran on well from the rear on debut and has Zac Purton on board. He will be hard to beat. BRANDING POWER has been beaten by less than two lengths at both his starts and looks ready to win as well. He is the danger. COMFORT LIFE has had more career starts than the rest of the field combined and has trialled well recently. He can fill a placing at nice odds.

Sha Tin R2 – Class 5 1400m

16:30 (AEST)

WONDER EXPRESS made up good ground over 1000m last start and his best form is over 1400m. Back in grade to Class 5, he will be hard to hold out. CALIFORNIA LEGEND was placed last start and should be reaching peak fitness after recent racing. If he can overcome the wide gate he can feature. VICTORIOUS LEADER is sure to be in the market with Zac to ride. His form is mediocre but Purton has won on him in the past.

Sha Tin R3 – Class 5 1200m AWT

17:00 (AEST)

TREASURE CHEST was rewarded for some good recent form with a last start win and he can go on with the job now his confidence is up. MOON PEAKS is another last start winner who is backing up after only a fortnight. He looks the danger. STRATHCLYDE chased TREASURE CHEST home last time and did win well at Happy Valley two runs back. I would be surprised if the winner came from outside that trio.

Sha Tin R4 – Class 4 1400m

17:30 (AEST)

GREEN ENVY broke through for his maiden win last start and steps up in grade this week. With 52.5kgs and Joao Moreira to steer he is well placed. With even luck from the wide gate, he should be winning. SPEED FAY FAY has been racing consistently and will be thereabouts once again, while JOYFUL HEART put in a much-improved run last start and looks ready to fire.

Sha Tin R5 – Class 4 1000m

18:00 (AEST)

LIKE THAT drops back to Class 4 and has drawn perfectly on the stands side rail for the 1000m scamper. He ticks all the boxes. UNITED WE STAND wasn’t far away in a bunched finish last time and will once again run up to his level which will be competitive enough here. NOBLE DESIRE was beaten by less than a length last time and is thrown in with 51.5kgs for the Poon train. He is a knockout chance.

Sha Tin R6 – Class 4 1600m

18:35 (AEST)

ALL FOR ST PAUL’S has two wins and three placings from his last six runs and looks the likely leader. With a terrific track and distance record he is the clear top pick. STUNNING IMPACT will appreciate the step up to the mile and will be finishing strongly. CHEERFUL DAYS has been a frustrating horse to follow, but he has been threatening to win a race for a while and must be respected.

Sha Tin R7 – Class 3 1200m

19:05 (AEST)

This is a really interesting race. SIGHT SUCCESS was a dominant debut winner in Class 4 and steps straight up to Class 3 this week from a better gate. The Size/Moriera combination should get another win with him. CIRCUIT SIX won the Group 3 Zeditave Stakes at Caulfield last February and he has trialled well recently. He might be ready to show something at odds. YOUNG PASSION hasn’t raced for over a year but did win both his starts in the UK. He could be a smokey at huge odds.

Sha Tin R8 – Class 3 1200m AWT

19:35 (AEST)

SUPER ALLIANCES loves the dirt and will get all the favours in the run from gate 1 for the Magic Man. Not sure how he gets beaten! SUPER POWER MAN was solid at his first run for over 6 months and has won second-up before. He looks the danger. HARMONY AND RICH has trialled well on the All Weather Track and is capable of a bold showing despite the outside draw.

Sha Tin R9 – Class 3 1600m

20:10 (AEST)

CHEVALIER PRINCE won well at the track and distance two back and put in a good run over 1800m last time. Back to the mile today he should get a box seat run and be hard to hold out. CASIMIRO is two from two here and can run well up in grade. Ex-NZ galloper SUPER FOOTBALL has improved at both his Hong Kong runs and looks ready to fire.

Sha Tin R10 – Class 2 1400m

20:45 (AEST)

The fast class race on the card looks a ripper. ENRICH DELIGHT was dominant on Hong Kong debut and is heading towards the 4yo Classic Series. EXCELLENT PROPOSAL finished off his last prep with a hat trick of wins and has trialled impressively. The pair should fight out the finish. LUCKY PATCH has done nothing wrong since relocating and will run well while BEAUTY SKY won all four starts in Western Australia and can run well on debut. Monitor betting moves around him.
