Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Saturday’s Rosehill meeting with horse racing tips and analysis for all nine races on the card. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: Out 3m, entire circuit

Good collection of emerging sprinters. INVICTUS SALUTE has talent and can really rattle home when on song. Should be close to that after one start this time up. Looks well placed. BRAZENPINE just keeps getting better every start. Stormed home to very impressively win a weaker race last start, but carried 57.5kg and ran time. Gets back but runs home hard. CACCINI is from Canberra and has a finishing kick too. Can place.

Tough but strong Highway. CHAMISAL is a very strong bush galloper and has the perfect draw. Should be just off the pace and can hit the line hard. Is in great form. The bad draw may not be all that off-putting for NORMALITY. There is a good horse in there and she showed a glimpse of that at Scone last start when surprising everyone by going hard early, leading all the way etc over 1400m. Bred to like this trip more. TAKISSACOD is a 3YO filly who has won her past 3 starts. They have all been in much, much weaker grade but she won them. Gets home well. Will be thereabouts.

ARTARMON is from England and is on debut here. Seems to be able to stay all day and two Aussie trials have been impressive. DESERT PATH has been slowly acclimatizing to the Aussie conditions and showed tremendous fight to win a similar race at The Farm with 59.5kg last start. Is honest enough to have in your numbers with 58.5kg this time. DUCHESS OF LENNOX has been very disappointing this time up but she has been waiting for this trip and carries absolutely no weight so could return to form.

FALCON ISLAND is fast early, is tough and is now very fit. Will lead and may take a huge amount of catching. Stablemates MANGIONE and STRYKE ROCK are in form, fit and both are strong finishes. Pace should suit them and they will run home hard late.  Big dangers.

A terrific contest for the bush stayers. MAID OF ORE has a big weight and a horrific draw but she also has won past 4 starts, a couple of them against better grade. If she finds cover she can swamp these. GUNGA DIN has finishing power and looks suited to this. Like all backmarkers will need clean air in the straight but he is very fit and in form. As is the mare EMANUELA. She has come through the grades winning her past 3 starts and does so with a strong late flourish. Is in well at the weights.

What a good, even tough field to work out. TANKER was green yet explosive to win in Melbourne on debut. He was shipped up here for this race and won a barrier trial in emphatic fashion. Looks to be a ready-made, imposing baby with speed and strength. Drawn the fence too. Big, big show. BLAZE A TRAIL has not raced yet but looks to be massively above average. Won both his trials to date and has done so as if he were from another planet. If he can settle within the top 5 to the bend, his finishing power might be next level. Respect him. MALKOVICH is also unraced and has shown astonishing speed to win trials. Will have to work from out wide but might be exceptional. VUCETICH trialed like an emerging star. Will get back but showed he can sprout wings late.

Tip: 1. BLAZE A TRAIL, 2. Tanker, 3. Vucetich, 4. Malkovich

What a race. Can EL DORADO DREAMING finally break through? She has the rails draw and is 2nd up in a field she can beat. Has good 2nd up stats and was handy 7th when resuming. Has won just the one race, and it was at Gr 1 level over this trip. DYSLEXIC hasn’t won for a while but has been unlucky and looked unlucky again at the barrier draw here. Can rush late so have in your numbers. MULTAJA is another get back and charge late type. Is 3rd up and is ready for this challenge.

Canberra sprinter STEPHAN is very strong late on his day. Is 2nd up here after a luckless trip when 8th last start. Should be out the back door early but will run on. TRUMBULL is yet another Kim Waugh-trained horse with honesty and galloping talent. Always puts in. TONY’S REWARD is the form horse winning at past 2 starts. Drawn well enough and looks a major threat too.

They’ve made it hard for you to end the day on a winner. Anything can win this event. I’ll be boxing up MAPMAKER, FINAL AWARD, MATOWI and SAUSEDGE. Play quinellas, trifectas, First 4 etc.
