Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Saturday’s Rosehill meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Heavy 9

Rail Position: Out 2m, entire circuit

Fascinating field because there is a bit of rising talent and on top of that a few that go lickety-split early. FROSTY ROCKS is one of them. He likes to lead and not just lead but send them all along at a fast clip. He won by 8 lengths in the mud last start. He gets some challenges early this time but if he is a righteous mudlark he gets that here and is very fit.

So is his stablemate, EDISON. He sits back and can finish hard. And he has run time before too for this journey. I suggest once he gets a look at his stablemate at the 200m, he will knuckle down to his task.

CAFE ROYAL is pretty smart but is up in grade. Likes to lead too and has won 3 of her 4 starts. FASHCHANEL gets home hard and is honest.  Good race.

Lots of depth here. These Highway races just keep getting better and better. I think Keith Dryden up from Canberra can nearly quinella the race with his pair of DREAM RUNNER, who is unbeaten from 2 runs, and showing enormous talent, and WICHITA WARRIOR who has a tough draw and has won past 2! Wow. Both get back and run on very hard. There should be a lot of pace here to suit them.

JAWWAAL has placed twice since resuming and is right in this too.

It’s hard to look past this Victorian steeplechaser ABLAZE. He just can stay all day and at a fast pace. Quickens when asked as well, and just looks too good for these in the mud because he is soooo strong.

TERWILLIKER is racing in career-best form and is staying on well of late. Sure to be plugging on too while

GAYATRI is trained here and she is very fit. Looks a place show too.

What a great betting race. Good prices should be on offer for all of them because there are just sooo many chances in this. LADY HIGHLY is getting better with racing and the journey here suits. Has shown she can handle this grade with recent placings.

MILUNKA who was heavily supported and failed last start in a similar race, was found to be a bit lame after the race. Is 3rd up now, presumably sound again and may be a good bet.

HANNA FROM HAVANA is from the bush but is a strong state and she might, at big odds ($51), shock a few of these.

Tough race. As long as TIME TO REIGN is content to let EMBRACER  lead, sitting off him, I think he can win this rather easily. Both speedsters won trials impressively recently. Time To Reign was 5th in the Gr 1 Golden Slipper in the mud so he can handle it.

ROHERYN goes well fresh and should run home strongly.  Will run well.

Interesting race. Hard to go past WU GOK even though he has a huge weight. He likely leads these and he has won his past two starts racing that way – both on heavy tracks at this level. He gets a heavy track again and just loves the mud so no doubt fights hard to the line again.

SIXTIES GROOVE is 3rd up here so should run boldly. Was a grinding 6th, beaten 5 lengths by Wu Gok last start but meets him 4kg better.

Victorian stayer SULLY is ready to rumble and he likes it wet. He is 3rd up too and does run home hard.

This is a good race. So much firepower up front from the get-go. I think the toppie HOME OF THE BRAVE, who is ready to finally win a race, should lead and he has solid wet track form as well. He was a great 3rd in Melbourne last start and this looks ideal for him.

CRACK ME UP ran 2nd last in the Gr 1 Stradbroke last start. He was 2nd up and he hadn’t shown form for that 1400m trip for some time. Much better suited here where he can sit back and rattle home.

SAMBRO is talented at this level and is fit and in form. Will be in the firing line.

If the toppie SPENCER is ever going to win, this is his race. He could lead them and being 4th up now, he is supremely fit. Led and fought on like a caged lion to just go under at this level last start. That’s now two placings in a row, with 61kg on his back at this exact level.

He looks well in as does his stablemate NIGHT OF POWER who has placed at a much higher level in the past. He is 2nd up after a strong 6th over 1300m last start running on late. Suited this trip.

WORD FOR WORD is a mare back in form with her very solid win at this level last start withe same weight, and significantly, she is a dual acceptor today.

Really tough contest to work out. There is a lot of cheap speed here and they will run each other over. DIO D’ORO has trialled very nicely coming into this and he has always raced well fresh. Was a player at this level all through his last campaign.

KYLEASE is an in and out mare who looked solid in a better race when hitting the line nicely enough for 4th. Take on trust though because she can put in an occasional bad one.

KORDIA is interesting. He won two races in a row, weaker races at that, but won them impressively before spelling. Not raced for a year but won a trial like a smart horse last week.
