Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Saturday’s Rosehill meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Heavy 8

Rail Position: out 6m, entire circuit

ON THE LEAD is 2nd up here and has proven form in this grade. Not disgraced when 5th last start when resuming at this level. Did win 2nd up last campaign and rates highly here.

VOWMASTER accepted for both here and Melbourne. Yet to be beaten in two starts showing outstanding acceleration late and has won a trial leading into this. Well weighted and has a boom on him.

ANDERMATT resumes here and has a lot of talent. This is a rise in class but form in just two starts last campaign told us he is pretty good.

KATGULLY RED has come back in terrific order and just seems to be getting better with racing. Is 4th up here and last start’s win was rather impressive as he thundered away in a Highway over 1200m. This will suit.

PRALINE is 3rd up and has been racing well. Gets a 1.5kg allowance in this and looks large.

I do like the improvement curve PHILIPSBURG is on. Has won past two, both weaker races than this but won them stylishly and is emerging. Should get the run of the race.

ZIEGFELD cantered around in a barrier trial recently making solid ground without even being let off the bridle. Is an import new to racing here. BUT…form abroad was first class and the whisper is he can really run home hard. Looks a racehorse.

YAO DASH is a speed horse at this level and generally takes some getting past. Is very fit.

NIMALEE is also resuming but can dash while fresh.

What a great betting race. Lots of chances. MADAM ROUGE is first-up here so needs to be taken on trust. Saying that, if she has her mind on the job she can win this. Her finishing power is good.

POSITIVE PEACE is fast and strong and resumes here. At her best she leads all the way. Worth the betting.

SUBPOENAED is a powerful finisher on her day. Hughie rides here and she should be suited by the fast pace. Resumes but goes well fresh. She’s a definite threat.

Tough race. PAULELE looks special. He sat back and won on debut then came to Sydney and easily won when leading all the way. Is clearly very smart and if they want him ridden forward he will bounce from this outside alley and come across.

His stablemate ZETHUS looks like a bulldog in the way he races. Won at Gr 3 level last start but simply toughing it out, eyeballing his rivals down the running and proving a tad too menacing. Those types are always hard to beat.

ROCKET TIGER has won his two races, one in town racing that same bulldoggish way too and is drawn perfectly.

HOME AFFAIRS was just grabbed by Zethus on debut. Trainer Chris Waller really likes him and feels he’s one of his best so can go one better.

Looks like a nice field to bet in even though a few have been scratched. THE Lord Mayor sat back when resuming in a similar field and came with a good rush to grab 5th, beaten 4 lengths last start. is fresh and goes well fresh and trip looks ideal. Have in your numbers.

DADOOZDART needed those two runs in Melbourne this prep to get him ready and we will see a tough, fit horse here. He tends to go well this way of going and should dash late at these.

SACREMENTO should win. He is rising in grade but can run fast time under a big weight and today he has nothing on his back. Leads all the way.

It is traditionally proven and must be remembered here too. When good Kiwi 3YOs come to Australia…back them. And this bloke AEGON is undefeated in four starts and has run fast times. Is also a Gr 1 winner. Hughie rides and looks very tough.

PELTZER is the benchmark of the Sydney 3YOs and he won brilliantly when resuming. Should make this Kiwi work to earn the victory.

THE ELANORA is very good. The market may not agree but he just keeps improving every run and he will be in this finish.

Tough race with so much speed in it. HANDLE THE TRUTH will love that fact. He resumes here, gets a 3kg weight allowance goes well fresh and should be rattling home off the quick early tempo

CRADLE MOUNTAIN probably sets that speed and his 3rd this grade last start was chock full of merit. Is super fit now and will take beating.

SPACEBOY is fast and brave and up to this grade. He is also very genuine and will be in the leading trio pretty much all the way.

Really tough contest to work out. STARSPANGLED RODEO loomed to win last start in a similar race when 2nd uyp. Is super fit this time around and is drawn perfectly. He is the best horse so must be considered.

LACKEEN is a European import whose record and stats against better grade is impressive. He is lightly raced having started just four times and seems to like it longer. However, he trialled well and if there is any market move for him, get on.

GLOBAL QUEST needs a win to get his confidence back. Is a Group horse on his day and surely can run home hard this afternoon.
