Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Saturday’s Rosehill meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Soft 6

Rail Position: Out 5m, entire circuit

Fascinating field because there is a bit of rising talent and on top of that a few that go lickety-split early. LADY BANFF is one of the very best 2YO fillies in the land. Big call but with the 3kg claim here she should sit just behind the real speedsters here, peel out at the 300m and finish like a train. Have in your numbers.

NORTH PACIFIC has trialled impressively of late. Only start to date he ran home in the Gr 2 Silver Slipper to place behind ultimate Gr 1 Golden Slipper winner Farnan. Was backed on debut too. So everything suggests he is very good. Oh, and he has been sensationally crunched overnight.

MISS CANADA has yet to win a race but she is very speedy and probably leads these to well into the straight. Can place. Good race.

Lots of depth here. MY SWASHBUCKLER is from France and has had just two starts in Oz. Last start he caught the eye with a great 3rd in this grade and is now super fit. Plus, he gets an extra 500m. Ran in stakes races in France over trips. Is eligible for a provincial Mdn & Cl 1 Plate but looks a talented stayer.

NEW ARRANGEMENT rattled home from the tale of the field for a great 3tf in this grade, also over 1500m. He can stay. Significantly, he was ridden by Glen Boss that day and really impressed. But Bossy has chosen to ride My Shwashbucker. Either way, he has placed three times since resuming and is right in this too.

His stablemate BIRTH OF VENUS boasts similar form lines and styles of racing. Ran 3rd last start also in this grade, over 2000m rattling home. This mare is a good stayer so have in your numbers.

Because BLAZING TYCOON is in form winning two of past three and has a welcome 3kg claim here, he looks nicely in. Is very fit and sits just off the pace before coming home.

ZAKERIZ might be pretty smart though. He is a rising 6Yo and has had only five starts but the way he gathers fields up and just explodes past them has been very impressive now that he is fit. Have in your numbers because he can fly late.

CHAIRMAN’S CHOICE is very fit too having been up a good while but is racing very consistently in this grade.  Looks a place show too.

What a great betting race. Good prices should be on offer for all of them because there are just sooo many chances in this. And all of them are promising gallopers. LEWIS looked awesome leading all the way over a mile first-up last start in BM 70. Meets some beauties here and has to lump a big weight but he is tough.

ACADEMY has improved significantly this prep as has been shown in both his runs. Should sit back and run home gamely, presumably is a safe bet.

CAFE ROYAL is a gutsy, honest filly who has never missed a place in six starts. Placed this level last run and gets her fav jock back on top here.

Tough race. ZANIAH resumed from a six months spell and ran a bottler of a race in town when making ground late behind the speed machine Witherspoon. She ran 2nd and that should tighten her up for this. Big show.

SWITCHED is very honest and has placed at past four outings, recently in this company. Gets up on pace and just keeps fighting. Will run well.

VARDA steps up in class here after being most impressive with a powerful come-from-behind win ina  BM 70 when resuming. Might be very smart so expect her to dash at them late.

Interesting race. Kembla mare MONEGAL is pretty honest and has finishing power. Was 2nd up, in this grade and trip, when dashing late to just fail catching ORCEIN who she meets a kilo better here. Is also now fitter. Looks a big threat.

Obviously, if you back her you must throw Orcein in your numbers too.

EDISON is smart, loves this track and is on the quick back-up from last Saturday when on speed thi9s grade and too strong. Super-fit now and rates highly.

This is a good race. ORDER AGAIN is smart and he has steadily improved since joining the Chris Waller stable. Ran a terrific race for this when good 2nd in the Civic Stakes last start over 1350m. On home track here so is ready to pounce.

TRUMBULL was the horse who beat him last start. He finds trouble a lot but when he gets in the clear he sprints hard. Is very fit and rates highly again.

NOBLE BOY is getting back to his very best and in fact may peak here. He does get back but rattles home and he is in this very well-weighted. Expect him to be flying late.

So much natural brilliant early pace here and this is just going to suit KORDIA, who looks a ready-made stakes horse in the making. She is a very powerful finisher and is most reliable too.

TRUE DETECTIVE is getting up in the eights but his past two wins suggest he likes to sit back and dash late too.

SANDBAR has the big weight but also has stakes form to his credit and his last start says he’s back to his best. Big show, while POETIC CHARMER stormed home late to win a slightly weaker race last start but is well-weighted here.

Really tough contest to work out. Lots to like about the dashing way STELLA SEA SUN stormed home with 60kg in a BM 78 over this trip on a bog track to win first-up last start. If she repeats that with a 3kg claim this week, she wins again.

MALEA MAGIC is a terrific bush mare who always goes well when brought to town. Made ground late when 3rd in a strong BM 78 last start.

PARTNERS will be big odds but probably sets the pace. Has excellent speed from near the bend until halfway down the straight and led all way to win a much weaker race last start. BUT, has just 50kg here so may give them a lotto catch.
