Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s race meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Cowra and Sapphire Coast – he is confident. Good luck, punters!

This is not a terribly strong Cl 2 which is why I’m prepared to back URUS. My guess is he jumps and searches for the lead which will probably be held by DISCONCERTED. Meaning he will sit off her with the last shot. He is consistent. He’s tough and he’s a real trier every run. But is up in class. She is in and out. Can be very hard to catch like she was last start when a 3 lengths winner, but previous form not so hot. She is also up in grade. They should fight it out but I just favour his genuine attitude over hers today.

Interesting race. There was money overnight for FAST TALKING despite the fact he was given 67kg. That’s been offset by Dylan Stanley’s 4kg claim, but the last start city winner still has to lump it around. I think he flies home into 2nd place. I’m on the mare REBUKES. Formerly a Godolphin horse now with the Lee Bros, she can get to the line pretty well herself. Placed in town at her most recent run where she hit the line well in a strong BM 72, she comes into this 5th up and ready to pounce. Quality race but I think I’ve found the winning quinella.

What a fascinating affair. I just hope they run up to their last couple of performances here because if they do, I can’t see them beating ROSEIRRO here. Last start, at this track, he carried 65kg in a race over this trip. It’s immaterial that it was only a BM 58. We know BM 58 horses don’t win these country cups, and this bloke was beaten. BUT…they ran 1.37:60. That time would nearly win this. He ran 1:37:65 in that race with 65kg. If you can run that time with that weight, you MUST be able to run faster with just 57kg on your back. He’s fit and if he breaks 1:36, which he should with 57kg, he will win. OLD MAN’S ANGEL can bob into 2nd.  Quinella bet for sure.
