Form analyst, JUSTIN DEVINE, previews Wednesday’s meeting at Happy Valley, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 8 races on the card. Good luck, punters!

Rail Position: True, entire circuit

METHANE ran well for second last start and should be ready to produce his best here. He can sit up close to the speed with the 3kg claim and make his own luck in the run. KUNGFUMASTER PANDA is another who should get an economical run and has placed over the trip before. With 53kgs he will be hard to hold out. CHUNG WAH SPIRIT won well over 1650m earlier this prep and is on trial over the longer journey. He is one to include in exotics.

Tip: METHANE

TREASURE CHEST has chased home the airborne VIRTUS STAR at his last couple of runs and that is good form for this race. YOU HAVE MY WORD was a good winner at odds two runs back and followed that up with a nice run last time. SOCKET ELITE will get all the favours in the run for Karis Teetan and can make amends for a narrow last-start defeat. They look the clear winning chances.

 Tip: TREASURE CHEST

READY CONQUEROR showed sharp improvement for 2nd last start and can go on with the job with the in-form Magic Man to steer. CHUNGHWA JINGSHEN narrowly defeated READY CONQUEROR and meets him worse at the weights today. He will run well again. FLYING MONKEY has placed at his last three and while he struggles to win, he is one to include in exotics.

Tip: READY CONQUEROR

PEGASUS GLORY has had three careers runs, all at Sha Tin for a win and two seconds and jumps off the page here. He only needs to handle the track at Happy Valley to win. LITTLE PLAYER ran a nice race for 4th on debut and will be better for the experience. He is the danger. LITTLE THUNDER gets in with 50.5kgs after the claim and can box seat from gate 1. He is a knockout chance.

Tip: PEGASUS GLORY

SPRINT FORWARD broke through for a much deserved win last start after a run of placings. He is well weighted again with the claim for Jerry Chau and looks well over the odds at $12. I am making him my best each way bet on the card. KINDA COOL struggled from the poor draw last start when well supported and will appreciate gate 1 tonight. He is short in betting though. GOODLUCK GOODLUCK was runner up last start and has run well third up in the past. Watch betting moves with him.

Tip: SPRINT FORWARD

WE THE SOUTH handled the step up in class well last start and Joao Moreira will get him into a winning position once again. PROPICE won a Listed race at Flemington earlier this year and must be respected, especially after his stablemate ENRICH DELIGHT won on Hong Kong debut last Sunday. WILD WEST WING is racing in career best form and will run well once again with 52kgs.

Tip: WE THE SOUTH

This is a competitive race with four last-start winners engaged. TASHIDELEK  is chasing a hat trick of wins and is capable of leading them a merry dance if left alone in the lead. MURRAY’S PARTNERS has won three Class 4 races at his last four runs and can handle the step up in grade with the lightweight. STIMULATION is better than his form reads and is should be reaching peak fitness third up. A bold showing would not surprise.

Tip: TASHIDELEK

SCORES OF FUN missed out in a tight three-way photo last time and has the services of Joao tonight. A repeat of that run will be good enough tonight. He is the best bet of the night. MIG ENERGY broke through for a win last start, but doesn’t win out of turn and is a hard one to catch. I doubt he can win tonight but is one for exotics. WINNING FEELING was OK up to Class 3 last time and with 51.5kgs he will feature in the finish.
