Form analyst, JUSTIN DEVINE, previews Wednesday’s meeting at Happy Valley, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races on the card. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Turf – Good

Rail Position: True, entire circuit

Happy Valley R1 – Class 5 1200m

21:45 (AEST)

ONE STEP AHEAD is knocking on the door of a win after back to back placings. He should be cherry ripe third up and is the one to beat. GREAT HARVEST tired on the speed last start and will appreciate a return to the more suitable 1200m with 51kgs tonight. MASTER GALAXY knocked up last time but his form prior was solid enough for this and gate 1 is a bonus. He is one to include.

Tip: ONE STEP AHEAD

Happy Valley R2 – Class 4 1650m

22:15 (AEST)

RIGHT HONOURABLE and ANONYMA filled the minors in their last meeting and look the top two again. With three track and distance wins, I’m with Zac Purton to get RIGHT HONOURABLE home ahead of ANONYMA who is the danger. SWEETY BABY won a class 5 last start and will take confidence from that win. He is a knockout chance.

 Tip: RIGHT HONOURABLE

Happy Valley R3 – Class 5 1200m

22:45 (AEST)

KA FORTUNE box seated throughout his first-up run and held on well for third. Fitter for that run, he can once again enjoy a nice run and be hard to beat. KWAI CHUNG ELITE made up good ground from the rear last time and with a better draw, he can sit closer in the run for the Magic Man. Expect him to close strongly. FIRE AND GOLD is racing better than his numerical form suggests and is one to include in exotics at nice odds.

Tip: KA FORTUNE

Happy Valley R4 – Class 4 1650m

23:15 (AEST)

V CHEVALIERS has won two from his last three and continues to put himself in great spots in his races. He loves the 1650m at Happy Valley and looks the best each-way bet on the card. INCANTO PREPARED flashed home to get within less than a length of the leader last start and a similar run will see him hard to hold out. LUCKY MISSILE was plain first up, but the market suggests an improved run second-up. Watch the market.

Tip: V CHEVALIERS

Happy Valley R5 – Class 4 1000m

23:45 (AEST)

WILD WEST WING has been racing in consistent form and is drawn to do no work tonight. UW BROTHER broke his maiden status at start number 17 last time and can go on with the job. OVERSUBSCRIBE is a last start winner before heading out for a spell. He has trialled well and can run a race at odds.

Tip: WILD WEST WING

Happy Valley R6 – Class 4 1200m

00:15 (AEST)

The David Hayes trained SPRINT FORWARD has run back to back placings and tonight looks his night. Jerry Chau retains the ride and the claim is handy. NOBLE MAN for the Size/Moreira team was beaten less than 2 lengths last start and is a likely improver. JADE THEATRE was poor last start but is good enough to be competitive tonight. He is one to include in exotics.

Tip: SPRINT FORWARD

Happy Valley R7 – Class 3 1200m

00:45 (AEST)

KEEP YOU WARM looks well placed with the lightweight and good draw. He is knocking on the door of a win with a couple of seconds at his recent runs. Ex Australian STORM WARNING  ran his best Hong Kong race last start and can go on with the job despite the big weight and wide gate. HARDLY SWEARS is a two-time track and distance winner who is reaching peak fitness. Expect the winner to come out of these three.

Tip: KEEP YOU WARM

Happy Valley R8 – Class 2  1650m

01:15 (AEST)

This looks a match race between the top two in betting, GREEN LUCK and SOLAR WAI WAI. Both horses ran well first up in the same race and history tells us that they improve in the second up runs. I’m leaning to SOLAR WAI WAI who has a much better draw than he did first up, but it is a toss of the coin. Joao is capable of getting GREEN ENVY home. PANFIELD is a very interesting runner. He has won three times in Chile and trialled well. He is a big watch.

Tip: SOLAR WAI WAI

Happy Valley R9 – Class 3 1200m

01:50 (AEST)

I’m happy to forgive SCORES OF FUN who did too much work last start and missed a placing. Before that, he had won twice and ran second at his only three runs and looks a progressive type. I’m making him my best bet on the card. He can get back into the winners stall. MEHBOOB is a streaky customer who mixes his form a little. He is capable of causing an upset on his night. STANLEY PARK will be thereabouts after a nice win at the track and distance last start.

Tip: SCORES OF FUN
