Form analyst, JUSTIN DEVINE, previews Wednesday’s meeting at Happy Valley, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races on the card. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good

Rail Position: True, entire circuit

Happy Valley R1 – Class 4 2200m

21:45 (AEST)

EXALTATION found the line strongly over 1800m last start has drawn to get a gun run throughout the race with a lightweight for the in-form Joao Moreira. He will be hard to hold out. MORE THAN A HORSE drops back in class and makes the jump up to 2200m after finishing well back over 1200m last time. He has placed at his only run over the trip and sharp improvement is expected. DYNAMIC EAGLE won well last start and is rock hard fit for this assignment. Include.

Happy Valley R2 – Class 4 1200m

22:15 (AEST)

PEAK TO PEAK has shown plenty at his first couple of runs and looks ready to fire tonight. DAILY BEAUTY has recorded back to back placings and will have plenty of market support with the Magic Man to steer. The pair look the best of the raced brigade. First starter GLUCK RIVER has trialed well and any market moves must be respected.

Happy Valley R3 – Class 5 1650m

22:45 (AEST)

VIRTUS STAR recorded a hat trick of wins earlier this prep and I’m happy to forgive his last start when he was caught wide. He can bounce back onto the winner’s list. WONDERFUL TIGER wasn’t too far away at his most recent run and is a three-time track and distance winner. BABY STORM continues to run well and will once again be competitive.

Happy Valley R4 – Class 4 1650m

23:15 (AEST)

ZHAN JIANG ROCKS is a model of consistency with back to back placings and looks a great price. His rider Tony Piccione has a win and two placings from his last three rides and will give him a nice ride. I’m making him my best each way bet on the card. HAPPY WIN WIN was close last time and will be hard to beat with the lightweight, while KING DRAGON has placed three times at the track and distance and gets Joao for the first time. The winner should come from these three.

Happy Valley R5 – Class 4 1000m

23:45 (AEST)

U W BROTHER was beaten a tight finish last start and only needs to replicate that run to be in the firing line once again. FARM BUMPER is an enigmatic galloper who is capable on his night and he will appreciate a return to the 1000m at Happy Valley. JAZZ STEED has trialled well and the 3kg claim will help.

Happy Valley R6 – Class 4 1200m

00:15 (AEST)

This is an even race with a host of winning chances. NOBLE BIRTH was well supported when winning last start and Zac Purton retains the ride. He looks a major player. Back down to 1200m MIGHTY POWER can bounce back after a poor Sha Tin run last start. WHISKEY NEAT can mix his form, but his best will see him in the finish.

Happy Valley R7 – Class 3 1200m

00:45 (AEST)

How good is HARMONY N BLESSED? He has been super when winning his first two starts and should make it three from three. The best bet of the night. WHAT A LEGEND chased the favourite home last time from a wide gate and has won three over the 1200m at Happy Valley. He is the knockout chance. WINNING FEELING will enjoy an economical run along the rails and is one to include in exotics at nice odds.

Happy Valley R8 – Class 3 1650m

01:15 (AEST)

INCANTO PREPARED has won three of his last at the track and distance and is the testing material again. He can handle the class rise and get the money. NAMJONG PLUS has chased home some good ones at his last couple of runs and is well drawn. PRECISE EXPRESS is much better than his form suggests and he has finally drawn a good gate. One to include at big odds.

Happy Valley R9 – Class 3 1200m

01:50 (AEST)

An interesting race to finish the night. SCORES OF FUN was trapped wide last time and struggled, but his previous form was terrific and he will give a great sight. CAPITAL STAR has great Australian form and his trials have been good. Expect him to run well and watch betting. MIG ENERGY doesn’t need to improve much on his most recent runs to feature here, and the 3kg claim might do the trick!
