He’s won $16million for his owners and is a superstar while fresh. Looked awesome winning recent trial. At 7 years of age, is he past his best? His best would win and I wager he still will be very, very competitive. Have in your numbers.
Is he the next big thing? Has amazing cruising speed and if he decides to lead, he can take it up and just explode away. Did that last start at this level prior to spell. Will start odds on and will play a huge role.
Is smart on his day but he hasn’t had a good day for quite some time. Looks to get run over in this.
Two things in this bloke’s favour. Firstly, he is a 1000m specialist, winning 5 times from 6 starts. And secondly, he runs very well at this track. Up with the big boys here but wont disgrace himself. Is also very good fresh and is resuming here.
She is a good mare but at Gr 1 level she may struggle over the final 100m.
Fascinating galloper on many levels. Hits the line hard and ended last campaign with a pair of Gr 3 wins over 1200m, on both occasions really running through the line hard late. This is a big step up but at least we know she can finish and only start here was a win.
Brilliant sprinting filly on her day and goes really well here. Is unbeaten in two first up runs and is resuming here. Is also unbeaten at this journey. Won her Gr 1 at Moonee Valley then took on Nature Strip at Gr 1 level here and was a hard-finishing 2nd behind him. Actually meets him 2kg worse off for losing that day, but she may well have improved with the spell. Respect.
