Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at Saturday’s Flemington meeting with horse racing tips and analysis for all nine races on the card. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: True, entire circuit

The Colin Little trained KAZIO is pretty honest and tries so hard every run. Is a regular placegetter this grade too including a 3rd last start. OVER EXPOSURE was run over last start when 8th up on the Gold Coast in a tougher race. Should run on strongly here. MOUNT TABORA is a rising star and may even reach Black Type level. If so, looks very well in here on the limit weight.

Tip: MOUNT TABORA

A strong and impressive display by PAINT HE TOWN TWO last start in this grade made it 2 wins on the bounce. And mares in form… Has the rails draw so rates highly. RED HEELER is lightly raced but shows enormous talent. Placed this grade 2 starts back before gutsy win here and is fitter now. THOUSAND WISHES has strung together 4 really good runs this grade lately. Has to be included as she is honest.

Tip: RED HEELER

MILDRED is so smart and fast and honest. Has won 3 of 4 starts and loves Melbourne racing. Won brilliantly in this grade when resuming last start. Big show again. NITROUS is down from Sydney and is very fit. He has a lot of speed and this straight race will suit him. AWARD WINNER has only raced twice but did win on debut and not far away in a similar race when 5th while resuming last start.

Tip: MILDRED

WETAKEMANHATTAN is consistent and honest enough at this level. He’s been up a while and gets a 1.5kg relief here. Can place. EUREKA STREET is a dual acceptor. If he runs here he has claims at this level.  He is racing in terrific form and has drawn well. CLASSIC WEIWEI has talent but has needed his two runs this time up. Has pace and is very fit now. He will be right in this too.

Tip: CLASSIC WEIWEI

Competitive field. Delicious Trans Tasman clash between New Zealand’s best 3YO in CATALYST and our best in ALLIGATOR BLOOD. Both have won their past three runs. Alligator Blood has by far the best draw as he settles in about 5th on the rails and doesn’t spend a penny. But they say this Kiwi is a superstar. Great battle. DALASAN was a solid 3rd when resuming this grade last start. Fitter now and can charge late.

Tip: ALLIGATOR BLOOD

JUST HIFALUTIN is a strong mare, a fast mare and more importantly, an honest mare. She won in the bush last start but she’s won 7 races all up and will fly late here too. SIRIUS SUSPECT was terrific when resuming this grade and 2nd. Drawn deep here and that might actually be advantageous. TANIKO is a Godolphin mare with finishing power. Is super fit. Good race.

Tip: TANIKO

Good race. If the old REDZEL turns up he will make a huge race of it. Did win a trial recently and has a tremendous first-up record. NATURE STRIP seems to have really matured and become the superstar he promised as a young horse. If so he can burn these. LOVING GABY is very smart and has a powerful burst late. But did get beaten easily last time she met Nature Strip and meets him 2kg worse here. GYTRASH is a smart galloper this trip. Up in grade but can fly.

Tip: 1. NATURE STRIP, 2. Loving Gaby, 3. Redzel, 4. Gytrash

PRETTY BRAZEN is talented. Has won three of her past four runs. Was spelled after a game win over a mile. Resumes here but looks very smart. This is a big step up for MEUSE but gee, once she bullocked her way into the clear when resuming, she raced away over 1100m in a BM 64 last start. Respect. KATALIN has won both her starts thus far looking like a superstar but they have been in much weaker grade. She gives the impression she is first-rate so should be in your numbers.

Tip: PRETTY BRAZEN

Because this race is an absolute lottery, just box up: STREETS OF AVALON; ADMIRAL’S JOKER; with the impressive BLAZEJOWSKI and EF TROOP. Have those exotics for Quinellas, Tris and First 4. Good luck. This is a good field, but Blazejowski looks like he might be ready for Black Type racing. He’s won 5 of his last 8 starts.

Tip: BLAZEJOWSKI
