Liked the way GREEN GOLD got home at Sunshine Coast last start and will be having something each way on him in this field.
WITH EDGE is overdue for maiden win coming off couple of solid Sunshine Coast placings. Drawn ideally and will get his chance at some stage in straight.
THE POWER OF ONE resumes. Was in the market at Gatton last start but only got going late. Had another break since but obviously shown ability and drawn to get perfect run.
KABALEGA has been a model of consistency this time in with three placings from his four starts this time in. Ideal barrier and would not leave out of chances.
Tip: GREEN GOLD
THE MOVE demolished them in a much better race at Warwick Farm last start. He is a smart gelding and he can make it two in a row.
MOUNTBATTEN resumes from spell. He has a super first-up record (5:2-0-2) and this looks a winnable race for him. Must include.
JETSKI is another who usually finds best when fresh. Two of his four wins have been first-up and must include him on that stat alone.
KAVAK was in the market at Ipswich first-up but just found them a bit slick at Ipswich. Sure to be better from the run and he will improve second-up.
Tip: THE MOVE
The big query is the Kiwi colt LEBANESE TRADER. He showed enough in both NZ runs to suggest he has the ability to get away with this and if any stable support would follow.
OUTBACK PLAYBOY is a debutant from the Robert Heathcote stable. He has been impressive in both trials leading into this and sure to be right in the mix at first start.
EUREKA’S VICTORY has no luck in nice race here on debut but in the small field was caught wide and eventually weakened. Looking for improvement at second spell.
HODGSON resumes off a solid Gold Coast trial win. He raced in some hot races down in Sydney at first campaign and although drawn wide would not leave out.
Tip: LEBANESE TRADER
ORBISYN looks an exciting gelding who has not been stretched in any of his three starts. Jumped to the front and was untouched winning by a big margin last start. Should win again.
BOFORS did a couple of things wrong at Gold Coast last start but still won with something in hand. She has drawn ideally and looks a major player in this field.
WARP SPEED resumes from spell. Only the one placing from three first-up tries but he was most consistent last time in work and from inside draw cannot leave out.
ROCK AMORE was strong when found the front at Ipswich two back and went on to win then followed up with a heavy track placing last start. He can sneak into a placing.
SMART METEOR just found one better at the Sunshine Coast last start. He has been racing in consistent form but just cannot find the winning post. He gets his chance in this.
SACRED SUITE was placed here two starts back when making good late ground then just held ground at Doomben last start. This a nice race for him and he can bounce back.
ELOTROLADO only just missed when drove late to the line at Sunshine Coast last start. Drawn wide but will go back and expect her to be rushing home late.
ADELAIDE’S DIAMOND resumes with a devastating 6 lengths Gold Coast win on heavy ground. If there is any rain about would put on top in this.
Tip: SMART METEOR
TAMILAIDE is a lightly raced gelding who resumed on a heavy track at Gold Coast first-up and won with something in hand. Fitter and can win again.
GAVE US UP is moving through his grades with something in hand winning his last two starts. Finds a harder task but can step up to the mark again.
DASH FOR DREAMS led at Ipswich two starts back and when she straightening she bounded away for all the way win. Only claimed late last start and expect she will be up front for a long way.
BATANGAS ENTRY gets back into right race second-up from spell. Sure to strip fitter for this and has won second-up. Would not leave out of place chances.
WEONA SMARTONE has been well named by his owners as he looks well above average. Started a long odds on favourite on the heavy at Gold Coast and demolished them. The one to beat again.
SLOW HANDS finished too well for them to win with something in hand here last start. He only needs to hold that form to be right in the mix again.
SUILVEN looked solid winning at Ipswich first-up from spell. Finds a tougher race but he will strip fitter and would include in place chances.
The big query in this is KALI. She is unbeaten in both first-up tries and has a Group 3 win on her resume’ She may just be a bit too good for these.
Tip: WEONA SMARTONE
EXPRESS FANTASY took on Listed company first-up at Doomben but had little luck when always wide and dropped out from the corner. Gets a winnable race and he will be right in the mix.
LOT’S WIFE resumes from spell. Gold Coast winner when first-up last time in work and from ideal barrier here she should get her chance at some stage.
PAREDO looks well placed in an easier race third-up from spell. She is going to need some luck from her wide gate but could be the knockout chance.
FRONT MONEY has been racing in consistent form with three minor placings to begin this campaign. She can sneak into a placing again.
