Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Saturdays Caulfield meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races on the Caulfield course. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Soft 6

Rail Position: True entire circuit

Really even juvenile race to start off the program with a few coming off strong last start wins.

Like NARVAEZ coming back to the 1400m after being overran by the smart Cherry Tortoni at Flemington last start. If Caulfield races they way it has been in last couple of meetings he should be favoured from the front and sure to take catching last 200m.

WUNAMBAL was sent out favourite at Moe last start and he relished the heavy ground jumping to the front and giving nothing else a chance. Drawn to get ideal run and likelihood of wet track a bonus.

THE FELON could have won by further at Pakenham on debut. He looks above average but his win was on the synthetic and prepared to take a risk with him on the soft turf here.

EFFLORESCENCE showed an impressive turn of hoof and demolished then on the synthetic at Ballarat last start. If he can produce that form here he is sure to be a major player.

OUR CAMPANA is having his first start for the Peter Moody stable. Only just missed when first-up at Pakenham last time in work before stringing two wins in a row. Drawn to get all the favours in behind the speed and she should have last crack at these.

SHE’S A THIEF looks the likely speed and that has been a major advantage at Caulfield in recent times. She comes off a tough last start win and will take running down last 200m.

Forget ALL OVER BOSANOVA went around at The Valley last start when she was always wide and entitled to tire. Should get much better run here and this looks a nice race for her.

SWORD OF MERCY is the up and comer. Won both her starts this time in and although finds toughest test she cannot be left out of chances.

Tough race with plenty of chances.

SONAREE has the speed to cross and find the rails and lead these. Only run down by the well backed Morrissy here last start and if he can get his own way with the 2kg claiming apprentice aboard he will take some running down.

Thought that KAPLUMPICH had his chance to run on and win here last start after a nice run in transit but just battled away in straight holding minor spot. Can never leave him out and gets chance.

SONDELON kept coming when placed here last start. Has drawn out in the car park which is a major concern but can sneak into a placing.

SAKURA is another that has a horror barrier draw. Damien Oliver is aboard and with a touch of luck would not leave this mare out of multiples.

Liked the way MORRISSY accelerated then asked to let down soon after straightening here last start. This looks a similar race and he can win again.

KINGS BROOK was brave when just missed at Flemington last start. She has not won for a little while but will not get a better chance than this to break through.

SUPERHARD just missed in the Wangoom fresh from spell then was good enough at Flemington last start to suggest he can fill a placing in this.

REFLECTIVITY resumes from spell. Has a solid first-up record (7:0-3-1) and that puts him right in the mix for multiple players.

MYSTERY SHOT did not get it all his own way here last start but still sprinted clear and held on for brave win. That made it three from three and no reason he cannot continue on his winning way here.

LEALE looked like she needed the run here last start when just bit one paced from the corner. Like her getting out to the 1400m second-up from spell and she will be a big improver.

ALBURQ looks the most professional runner in this. Was not beaten all that far when just missed place in Listed company last start and that form looks good enough for this.

PARIS gets into hardest race she has seen this prep but think she will appreciate the step out to this distance and does come off a couple of sound minor placings.

This looks perfect race for RIGHT YOU ARE to return to winners stall. Powered home to beat Librate here two starts back then just missed behind the in form Persan at Flemington last start. He is the one to beat.

THOUGHT OF THAT was only claimed late here first-up from spell. He strips fitter for this and is the class runner. Goes forward and again looks the one they have to run down.

GRAND DE FLORA has won three of her four starts this time in. Takes on a tougher race meeting the boys here but she can sneak into a placing.

TRANSLATOR was placed behind Right You Are here two starts back then forget run at Flemington when did it tough and entitled to tire. Can bounce back with better run in transit.

Really liked the way VIRIDINE attacked the line to win at Randwick last start on the heavy ground. Oliver should get the perfect sit in behind the speed and will have his pick of best ground when balanced-up. He may just be too good for these.

TAVISAN won last time he was at Caulfield then placed at The Valley next start. May not have run out the strong 1200m last start and back 100m here will suit.

I AM SOMEONE beat smart field down the Flemington straight two starts back then held ground final stages. Perfect barrier and would not leave out of place chances.

ASHLOR wanted to go faster when overracing at The Valley last start before proving too strong final stages. If he can settle here he will be a factor again.

SIZZLEFLY resumes from spell. She is unbeaten fresh and looks the class filly in this field. Has the advantage of 2kg claiming apprentice aboard and that could be the winning move.

ELDERFLOWER has drawn a bit awkwardly but she has plenty of speed and if she can find a position in the early may take some holding out final stages.

FLOSTAR strung together two wins in a row then went to town in Adelaide and just missed in a driving finish. On her home track here and would not be surprised to see her run a cheeky race.

KNOWLES has been little poor in her last couple of starts. Drawn out in the car park but if she can find her best form she can figure.

HEAVENLY EMPEROR did some early work to go forward and sit on pace here last start but still drove clear last 200m for good strong win. This looks a little bit tougher and he has drawn wide but he will make his own luck going forward and goes on top at each way odds.

Liked the way that DOGMATIC worked home behind Morrissy here last start. She gets out to right distance range second-up from spell and from ideal barrier draw looks well placed to win.

POETIC DREAM finished just out of the placings here last start. Should be at peak fitness fourth run from spell and at the odds cannot leave her out of multiples.

TRIPLE STRIP was beaten less than 2 lengths at Flemington last start. This looks a winnable race for her and cannot leave out Payne/Egan combination.
