Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Wednesday’s Sandown Lakeside meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 8 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: True entire circuit

MONTANA FLASH was beaten less than a length in Group 3 Canonbury Stakes first-up then got well back behind the smart Stay Inside in the Pierro Plate last start. Gets back in much easier race and gets chance to break maiden.

AMEGDUL was little green but still chased home smartly when placed at Sale last start. Improving with each run and from inside gate should get all the favours.

TIZ MY BAY started big odds at Pakenham last outing but liked the way she got to the line when placed. Will get back but has big finish.

DAWN HUNTER is nicely bred son of Sebring from the Price/Kent stable on debut. Melbourne Cup winning jockey takes the ride and would keep and eye on market moves.

LIQUEURO has done everything right winning his two races most recent at Flemington when got home final couple of strides. He can progress to better races and looks well placed to make it three straight.

YULONG CODE broke his maiden with authority at Hawkesbury two starts back. He resumed in Group 2 company at Caulfield and chased home steadily. This a much easier affair.

THE PRES took on much better races last time in work and never a factor when resuming in Group 3 company last start. Drawn perfectly and gets back in much easier race here.

CUBAN STATE showed abundance of speed to lead on debut and he was never in danger. Looking for him to stride forward again and he can win this from the front.

QUEEN GUINEVERE made some steady ground when placed at Bendigo last start. This looks no harder and from ideal barrier she should get her chance.

SANCTUAIRE was a Mornington winner three starts back then been competitive in similar races to this of late and she will be a factor.

CAKE WALKER won at Kilmore three back then just been bit one paced in last couple. Steps up in class but would not leave out of multiples.

JUNGLE JANE had no luck at Hillside last start when only battled after a wide run. She should get better run in transit and look for improvement.

STARDAYZ was placed on the heavy ground here two starts back then went to Bendigo and may have been at end of prep when battled. Has a first-up placing to her name and going to have something each way on her.

The big query is the unbeaten Tassie gelding AND BEYOND who crosses Bass Strait for the first time. Finds a tougher race but hard to knock winning form and cannot leave out of chances.

CROWNED MONARCH just got fraction too far off them at Ballarat last start but she made good late ground. Drawn to get the perfect run in behind the speed and she should get chance last 200m.

ANGLIAN won his maiden at Bendigo by a space last start. Damien Oliver takes the ride and he will measure up to city class.

DIAMONDESQUE was beaten less than 2 lengths at Hillside fresh then thrown in the deep end in the G3 Typhoon Tracy last start and was not disgraced. Third-up and this a winnable race.

Liked the way CHARM SCHOOL hit the line to win this track/distance on debut then forget she went around in Group 3 company at Morphettville Parkes when she was never out of trouble. She bounces back in this.

FUTURE FORCE looks close to a win. Comes into this third-up from spell off the back of a couple of solid placings. Barrier only concern but has the in form Damian Lane.

TARCOOLA DIVA sprinted quickly to win at Sale first-up then went to Hillside and chased home well enough. Would not be surprised to see her run into a placing.

EAGLES CRAG powered away to win maiden at Pakenham first-up from spell winning by over 5 lengths. Looks like he can progress to city class and gets chance to make it two in a row.

PRISM controlled the race to win here two starts back then tried similar tactics at Hillside last start and was overran final stages. Looks the likely leader and the one they have to catch.

SKY HORSE looked in need of the run at Caulfield first-up when just battled from the corner. Sure to be better from that outing and gets out to ideal distance at 1600m.

The run of OTIS was better than finishing position suggests when beaten less than 2 lengths at Pakenham first-up. Won second-up back in NZ before crossing the Tasman and must respect.

Always had a high opinion of JUST BENJAMIN and going to have something each way on him first-up from spell. May have had enough when started favourite in Mornington Cup before break. Expect him to run a cheeky race.

Liked the way RULE THE WORLD chased home at Flemington when placed behind the smart Skyman last start. He only needs to hold that form to be right in the mix.

MYSTERY SHOT beat all but the in form Regardsmaree at Caulfield last start. He comes into this ready third-up from spell and gets his chance to return to the winners stall.

INDEPENDENT ROAD is another that looks close to a win. He can throw in a bad one every now and then but if finds best form would be right in the finish.

IMPERIAL LAD only just missed when drove late to just miss in a driving finish in similar race at Hillside last start. Awkward draw but he is top pick in this.

PLATINI started this prep in winning form then was not beaten all that far at Flemington last start. Form good enough to be competitive in this.

NO SAY IN IT resumes from spell. Placed on the heavy ground first-up at Ballarat last time in work and can run a cheeky race in this.

SIGN OF USSURI resumes. He has a first-up win to his name and raced consistently last time in work. Cannot leave him out of multiples.
