Form student, RIC CHAPMAN, takes a look at Friday’s Moonee Valley night meeting, with horse racing tips & analysis for all eight races on the card. Good luck, punters!

Rail Position: True, entire circuit
Track Condition: Good 4

FINE DANE looks the play…again. Whenever you see experience at the track, and in this case winning experience, that must be observed with glee. Fine Dane won a similar race last start sitting behind the speed and proving too strong. Even fitter now. OLLIVANDER has been a bit disappointing past few but did show a glimpse of good form last start when hitting the line well for 3rd this grade. THINE IS THE POWER is strong and consistent and should be right in this now 3rd up. Good race.

Terribly boring affair. Plodders who face each other every week and different results each time. Top 3 on recent exposed form are: KHEZERABAD; BLUE JAY WAY; CUBAN FIGHTER and maybe MURPHY’S DELIGHT. Khezerabad is a strong stayer this level and if he rolls to be on pace early he should win.

FUDGED made good work of it late similar race when 4th, which followed a 3rd same grade. Gets a welcome 2kg claim here so rates very highly. SOMETHING SILVER has been up a while but is holding form well and drops a little in grade here following a 6th last start, which followed 2 wins. PRIA ECLIPSE is very consistent and was rewarded with a win last start and can go on with that here. Gets 3kg claim to help.  Chance.

PLAY ME NOW rises a long way in grade following debut win, where he was really impressive. Sat behind the speed and powered late at big odds. Respect that. ANNUNCIATE is handy and consistent enough to be right in this. Past 3 runs this BM level have yielded 2 x placings and last start 4th with big weight. Will show up. ROYAL ZEPHYR has found form and past 2 starts have been excellent for this. Drawn perfectly too.

BULLPIT has done nothing in 2 starts to date this time up. Old form suggests he is very fast on his night. Is down in class a fair way here so may be ridden for speed here and if so can hang tough. MISS TOORAK FLYER gives her all every run and the draw here means she will not cover ground and be there to strike in the straight. Claim helps too. VALORE rises a long way in grade after maiden win but was impressive that day.

KALALO is an on speed type who is also a bit hit and miss. On his night he can roll to the lead and just keep finding. Tried that in open grade last start and got absolutely smashed. This is easier, less pressure mid stages. CRIMSON TEARS is in career best form and this grade suits perfectly. The 3kg claim is an added bonus and looks the one to beat. BIANCO NUOVO is strong late and racing well enough to warrant having in your numbers. Watch market.

CRACK THE CODE is the star of this grade of late – unbeaten in 3 starts this time up. Bad draw but is very fast early so can cross and dictate. HUMMA HUMMA is also a star this age group and her first-up win just under-lined that. Hits line hard and will shake this fav late. VICTORY KINGDOM could bring some spoiling tactics to the race. She is very fast and won her maiden last start but a huge margin leading all way. Much harder here but if she drives hard early it sets the race up for Humma Humma.

This race is a lottery. ABSOLUTE looked strong when resuming this company and 4th last start. Bad draw this time but has heart. GOOD THERAPY may be back in career best form. Two starts this time in have been excellent and win last start when coming home from a mile back at this track underlines that. Drawn perfectly here too. Should sit a little closer this week. SIR KALAHAD will be big odds but he is racing well enough to place.  Good luck.
