Form student, JUSTIN DEVINE, details the hopes of every runner in the Group 1 Flight Stakes at Randwick on Saturday, with his horse racing tips for the first four. Read on to see how he maps and assesses the race. Good luck, punters!
T: Chris Waller / J: James McDonald (56kg)
A top quality filly who has won three from four career starts including a last-start win in the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes. Step up to the mile looks ideal and she looks the winner.
T: Jamie Richards / J: Kerrin McEvoy (56kg)
The New Zealand filly won three races at home before crossing the Tasman and looks the only danger to the favourite here. Is thriving on racing and is screaming out for the mile. Will settle back in the run and chase hard late.
T: Joe Cleary / J: Jess Taylor (56kg)
The last start Canberra winner is taking a huge jump in grade here. Will get a nice run in the race behind Funstar and fill a minor placing.
T: Jason Coyle / J: Jason Collett (56kg)
Was an impressive Canterbury maiden winner before finishing a long way off the top two in the Tea Rose. Will need to improve markedly to feature here.
T: John Sargent / J: Jay Ford (56kg)
Finished midfield in a Newcastle maiden last start and has since finished down the track in a Randwick trial. Hard to see her challenging the top two, but can hug the rails for some minor prize money.
T: Ron Quinton / J: Andrew Adkins (56kg)
With two minor placings in maiden company it is hard to see her challenging at Group 1 level. Will wear blinkers for the first time, which may help.
