Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, QUINN previews Saturday’s Gold Coast meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Heavy 8

Rail Position: True entire circuit

Liked the way OLYMPIC CLASS finished the race off to win first-up at Sunshine Coast. Drawn to get the perfect sit in behind these and wet track should not bother him.

I COULD DO BETTER was making good late ground over the mile at Doomben last start. Gets out to the 1800m on heavy ground and they are both a bonus for his chances.

CELLARMAID comes into this ready third-up from spell. Not been disgraced in either run this time in over unsuitable distances. She usually finds form at third run in and despite wide gate can figure.

KIMPEMBE was placed over the 1800m at Eagle Farm three starts back then not been far away in two runs over slightly further. Back to right trip and would not leave out.

NIEDORP is yet to miss a place in six first-up tries and that includes three wins. Forget she went around in the Magic Millions as she was never on the track at any stage. Drawn perfectly and happy to go with her fresh.

Hard to say whether SUGAR BOOM got through the heavy ground or not first-up as she had a torrid run and entitled to tire as she did. Going to give her another chance on the wet ground as long as she can find a position up front.

SPURCRAFT resumes. Yet to miss a place in any of his six first-up runs and like Niedorp he has won three of those. Has a heavy track placing on his resume’ and must include.

JUST ORM is another first-up from spell. Won three of eight fresh starts and recent Doomben trial should have him forward enough for this. One for the first four players.

TRADUCE has been dominant in two Eagle Farm races leading into this. He will get back and give them a start but with ounce of luck from the corner can weave a passage and get away with this.

LORD BELVEDERE comes north off a couple of average Victorian runs. This looks touch easier and he should be at peak fitness third-up.

ROMAKASH put together a couple of Eagle Farm wins this prep then he has not been disgraced in two runs since. Should get nice run behind the speed and will be competitive final stages.

STARDOME sprinted quickly at the 200m and won at Doomben last outing. He only needs to produce a similar turn-of-hoof to be right in the mix.

Might have something each way on PASSAGE OF TIME who comes north in new stable. He raced in some quality races down in Sydney and recent trial win here was strong. Keep an eye on stable support.

RACECOURSE ROAD has come back in super form winning both starts back. He was dominant on the heavy ground this track first-up and repeated the dose with tough on pace win at Doomben. Third-up and can make it three straight.

SCALLOPINI resumes from spell. He has won four of eight first-up tries and must respect on that stat alone. He must be included in place chances.

STAMPE was only getting warm when race was all over at Eagle Farm first-up. Should strip fitter and usually improves second-up.

DOVETAIL DIVA is the one I am beware of in this. She started a long odds on favourite at Doomben on debut and she won accordingly. Straight to the paddock after that run. Looks above average and cannot dismiss.

CORK HARBOUR comes north off a strong maiden win in Sydney last start. Chris Waller must have an opinion of him to bring him up here and would not leave out of chances.

MISTER LARRABEE bolted in at Sunshine Coast last start when powered away last 200m. This looks no harder and cannot leave him out of multiples.

RANCH HAND is another representative of the Chris Waller stable coming to Queensland. Last start he was not beaten all that far in the Magic Millions Classic. Solid trial win leading into this.

TYCOON EVIE led them up for long way in the Listed Princess Stakes last start but just found one better over last 100m. Expect her to cross and lead from her wide gate and if she can get a breather before turn will take catching.

EASIFAR ran down Tycoon Evie in the Listed Princess Stakes last start. She again looks a winning chance but the concern for me is her barrier draw.

SIGNORA NERA is a Chris Waller trained filly who comes north after taking on Group races. She was beaten just over 3 lengths in G1 Australian Oaks last start and her class will take her a long way.

YATTON got her maiden out of the way in easy fashion at Sale fresh then she did not have all that much luck when held-up at Flemington last outing. Third-up from spell and cannot leave out.

ROCKETING BY had little luck at Randwick first-up when always wide and he was entitled to fade final stages. Sure to be better from that outing and he can win this.

Liked the way LORD OLYMPUS powered over them final stages for strong win in the Listed Mick Dittman last start. Only needs to hold that form to be in finish.

SIMPLY FLY was short favourite in the Mick Dittman but he wanted to buck soon after start and tipped Steph Thornton out of the saddle. He has trialed well enough since and can bounce back to winning form.

MARBOOSHA chased home hard into second spot in Group 3 company at Randwick last start. Drawn bit awkwardly but she will be steaming home final stages.

Love the Queen of the Kiwis MELODY BELLE. Multiple Group 1 winner who just lacked winning dash over the 2400m in the G1 Tancred last start. Back to the 1800m after a freshen-up looks ideal and she will not mind if the rain stays around.

Punters keep underestimating PARADEE but she just kept winning last prep. She started her winning ways at the Gold Coast winning The Wave at WFA then followed up with dominant win this track at next start. Unbeaten around this track in two starts and that a crucial stat.

AVILIUS comes to Queensland off the back of two Group 1 placings in three starts this time in. Overdue for big race win this prep and he gets his chance.

FIFTY STARS was much better than his finishing position suggests in the G1 All Aged Stakes last start when beaten less than 2 lengths. Wizard of the West aboard and must respect.

WONDERFUL RIRI is racing in super form having won two of her three starts this time in and a close Eagle Farm placing at other run. Drawn to get ideal run in behind the speed and she can get away with this.

SOFIE’S GOLD CLASS got long way off them first-up but liked the way she hit the line when just behind placings. Strips fitter and from inside draw she will get her chance.

GEM OF SCOTLAND finished strongly when placed behind Wonderful Riri two starts back and if she can find that form she will be right in the mix. She will not mind a wet track.

EURO BELLE was placed on heavy ground here two starts back and she has been racing consistently. Drawn to get the perfect run in behind the speed and should get her chance.
