THE GAUCH won with something in hand at Bendigo two starts back then backed that up with close placing behind Ocular last start. Drawn ideally and form good enough to win this.

TAN TAT HARMONY has been relishing the wet ground this campaign with two soft wins. She looks a city class mare and can measure up to these.

HARLEM BLUES looked like he would benefit from the run at Flemington first-up from spell. Drawn poorly but cannot leave out of chances.

VIDUKA comes across the border with consistent form. Three placings from his four starts this time in and he will not be far off a win.

YULONG RISING was placed at Caulfield two starts back then forget his run at Flemington when pulled up lame. Needs some luck from wide barrier but this a winnable race.

WAHINE TOA started favourite here last start and chased home bravely from the corner but found one better. Will get perfect run and should be in finish again.

VIVIDREDSKY has been competitive in all three starts this time in. Beaten just on 2 lengths in similar race last start and from ideal barrier must respect.

PERISCOPE comes to town off a demolition job at Hamilton last start. Comes into a harder race but deserves his chance and can sneak into a placing.

If SHELBY COBRA produces what he did at Flemington during the Carnival he will be winning this but don’t expect any flash odds.

SUPER YULONG was beaten less than a length at Cranbourne first-up. Sure to strip fitter from that outing and expect him to be in finish.

TORBRECK did not have much luck in the same race as Shelby Cobra at Flemington when raced wide. If he gets a better run he can sneak into multiples.

ROCK THE RING comes into this ready third-up from spell. Always back in second half at Flemington last start. Could sneak a place at odds.

Betting will be best guide with plenty of debutants in this. Liked the way JAYANTHI stretched out to win jumpout with something in hand. Gets perfect gate and should get chance from the corner.

Forget PRINCE AMONGST MEN went around on debut when never got through the wet ground. Finds firmer ground and will be an improver.

RAMBEAU won jumpout this track which is always an advantage leading into this. Would expect him to have support.

BUTTER BLONDE fought the race out strongly when not beaten far behind the smart Dosh in Listed company at Flemington. That form good enough to win this.

EXCESS FUNDS was only overrun by the smart Coruscate late at Caulfield two starts back then run better than finishing position suggests last start. Only needs to hold that form to be right in this.

VASSILATOR resumes from spell. He was placed fresh last time in work before consistent form. Drawn ideally and will get chance from the corner.

Liked the way HI STRANGER attacked the line to win at Bendigo first-up when got up last stride. Sure to strip fitter and can make it two straight.

ALL TOO ROYAL came from well off them here last start and although made good ground was never close enough. Fitter and this a winnable race.

Found the price they have opened up ZABELARINA to be enticing. She has won four of her six first-up tries including a win on the synthetic here last time in work. Going to have something each ay on her with that fresh record.

LUNAKORN comes into this ready third-up from spell. Attacked the line powerfully when placed at Mornington last start and she will get her chance in this field.

SOPHIA’S CHOICE ran on hard to win with something in hand first-up from spell. In astute stable of Robbie Kingston and she will be a major player.

ARCTIC SHOCK is yet to miss a place in any of her three first-up tries. Will be better when she gets over touch further than this but she can run a cheeky race.

RIGHT YOU ARE was just flat footed at vital stage at Flemington last start but he did get going again late and just missed. Yet to miss a place in eight starts and he gets chance to return to winners stall.

CAFFREY looked like he would benefit from his first-up hit out at Flemington when beaten just over a length. Will strip fitter and from ideal barrier draw gets his chance.

KAPLUMPICH has been close up with three placings leading into this. Has horrid draw to contend with but cannot leave him out of place chances again.

THINK ‘N’ FLY hit the line hard and got up in last stride to win at Bendigo last start. Now he has won he may go on with it.

JUNIPAL won with something in had at Sandown after getting perfect sit in behind the speed. Won three of his last four this prep and can add Ballarat Cup to his resume’.

KING’S WILL DREAM has not won for a while but he is the class weight for age runner in this race. Comes off last start Group 2 placing at Moonee Valley and that form good enough for this.

PARADEE looked home at Flemington last start only to be run down last stride. That made it two placings in a row and despite wide gate cannot leave out.

SO SI BON would bring the house down if he can win this. Strong winning the G3 Eclipse last start and from inside gate he should get all the favours.

THE ASTROLOGIST won with something in hand at Geelong two starts back then just missed down the Flemington straight last start. Third-up from spell and can return to the winner stall.

HARD LANDING got back to best form when just missed at Flemington last start. If he can hold that form is sure to be in finish again.

WHIPCRACKER WAY has been working through his grades impressively this time in starting with three solid wins then beaten less than 2 lengths at Moonee Valley. Racing well and cannot dismiss.

Always had an opinion of the mare LI’L KONTRA. She is yet to miss a place in any of her three first-up tries and would include again.

Ballarat R10 – BM84 Hcp 1400m

BEEHUNTER was beaten by barest possible margin behind the in form Power Scheme at Flemington last start. He will get all the favours and should get chance last 200m.

YAO DASH was doing his best wok late when not far off them first-up at Flemington. Sure to be better from that outing and should go close.

OCULAR is racing in super form. Bendigo winner three starts back then has followed up with two strong placings. Drawn out in the car park but racing too well to leave out.

PINYIN is an enigma but on her day she could finish all over the top of these. Should be plenty of pace in this and she will be powering home.
