Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Lismore & Forbes. Good luck, punters!
I think we can get the cash here with both a straight-out bet and a quinella. To me, it’s a race in two and the quinella should pay around $5.50. They are BONHOMIE, up from Canberra, and TANK ATTACK, a former Victorian. And to me, the deciding factor is the trip. Bonhomie was a good 2nd a few days ago at Leeton and is on the quick back up here. Goes up 150m which will suit but Tank Attack doesn’t have as far to travel to race and he has run a few placings over late over this trip. He should get a great trip and is rock hard. Just prevails for mine.
Tip: TANK ATTACK
What I like about KING FAROUK is here, are, well two-fold. He is having his 6th start so knows the procedure perfectly now and he is an on-pace horse. Should drive forward and be on speed, if not in front from the early stages and around here that is gold. Looks a good bet.
Tip: KING FAROUK
I like topweights in these bush cups. And the timing of the preparation for GREAT GLEN looks to be perfect. He’s 3rd up here. At his favoured trip. He will get back and hopefully dash with venom late. Now, conundrum. Last start he was beaten 5 lengths by GUNGA DIN. He meets that horse 5kg better here. That’s normally only just enough to reverse the decision but if we factor in he is 2 lengths faster now that he’s 3rd up, then he looks the play to me. Quinella them.
