Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s race meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Coffs Harbour this afternoon.
This looks a competitive race. I like RUTTO because he is on the improve and scored last start. And not just scored but ploughed through mud to do it. Which he gets again here. It was just his 3rd race start for his owner/trainer Craig Ruttley and he was there, poised to strike from the get go. Looks to be a ready made type and although drawn wide here he should charge across and probably sit outside the leader. He’s fit, is 3rd up in this and will do me.
This looks a competitive race. And an interesting one. The two most likely to fight it out are FERLAXING and HYPERTENSION. And they are poles apart as racehorses with Ferlaxing having raced just the once and the other bloke is lining up for the 12th time. Both ran terrific races in this grade at their latest runs to get 2nd. Ferlaxing was on speed leading all the way over 1106m at Port Mac, while Hypertension led from the get go at his first 1415m attempt and was run down late. He is trained here and coming back 100m will be very suitable for him. But the other guy is on the rise. Quinella bet all day.
This looks a competitive race. as these short sprints always are. I like BANGALLEY LAD because he is 4th up now, so is primed. He also doesn’t need to lead to win which will suit as a few of these will go locket split early. He is a dab hand in the mud and by the time this race is on the track will be a mess.
