Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s race meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Wellington and  Taree. Good luck, punters!

Interesting encounter. Oh, you just have to think pedigree and timing have come together for today’s race. ZOO STATION, who was moved on from a city stable, ended up at Gayna Williams yard. She has given the 4YO mare who is bred to a trip, time to mature and today, at her first go over 1400m, she looks very nicely placed. Only two runs to daye have been solid placings in this grade but over shorter trips. Has been getting a long way back but with experience and a slower mid race tempo she can be a faew pairs closer and then if her pedigree kicks in, will swamp these.

Good race. I think the way the Brett Cavanough stable is travelling right now you simply have to have WATER DOVE in this. He has two bonafide stars in his yard and this filly who has raced just once, was an all-the-way winner on debut then was put away. This is harder first up but the track suits speed and she has a lot of it. Probably swings in front and should keep going.

Today starts an ambitious program for PACE STICK as connections aim him towards the upcoming Country Championships. He has the talent but the stamina could test because he has shown in the past he is a very, very slick speedster at this level. Big weight here first up, but mud doesn’t bother him and he loves the trip. Plus the track plays into his hands. And, he goes good fresh. Should be simply too fast.
