Kensington R1 – 3YO Mdn Hcp 1400m
There is a bit of a boom on this Chris Waller trained galloper ANTONIO GIOVANNI. He’s unraced but he did win a trial recently at Rosehill in good fashion and has been working with the better ones in the stable. Plus, he has been heavily backed overnight.
VYNER has speed and did good on debit when 2nd in this grade. Spelled since and trials look strong. Big show.
WILLOWY is from the Godolphin yard and was placed in this company hitting the line well on debut. Experience and renewed fitness are on her side. Big show.
Tip: WILLOWY @ $6.00
Kensington R2 – 3YO Mdn Plate 1100m
Hard to truly evaluate this one because form is average and most runners are on debut. GRACILISTYLA is a son of the smart catkins and is racing for the first time here. Did place in a. recent trial.
I AM BRAZEN was all at sea on debut when 6th. Is trained here and that run should iron out a fair few kinks. Big show.
MAYROSE is also trained here and has placed twice to date both in this grade. Looks the smartest and has the best form. Also has the best draw. Drawn to get a great run.
Tip: MAYROSE @ $2.90
Kensington R3 – BM72 Hcp (3YO+) 1800m
If he runs up to his best I think CALIFORNIA LONGBOW can win this comfortably. And he does look beautifully placed. the 2kg allowance, on his home track, and 3rd up after a pair of strong runs. Get on.
Lots to like about the way this Canberra stayer DREAM RUNNER performs here. Hughie has the ride and form has been pretty honest of late. Worth following though.
Similar story for the extremely honest NARRATED. This is harder than last start win but he is so game and is lightly weighted.
Kensington R4 – BM72 Hcp (3YO+) 1550m
COME ALONG hadn’t won for a long time and had been just behind the placegetters past few at this level. That was until last start when perfectly ridden he stormed away. On home track here but up in weight.
HEAD OF STATE was 5th in stakes grade last start when 2nd up. Super fit now, looked in need of the run last start and is down in class. Respect all that.
This lightly raced mare ITA might just go bang and win this comfortably. She is improving every run and easily took out her past two starts, yes in weaker grade, but did so with authority. So expect her to dash late.
Tip: ITA @ $3.90
Kensington R5 – BM72 Hcp (F&M) 1300m
FRENCH BONNET has always promised a lot and her provincial form has been great. Resumes here and is ready to run a blinder. Might be the spark she needs. Is capable.
There was a lot to like about the way CALGARY QUEEN hit the line in a similar race last start to win. That was when resuming. Should be fitter now.
RATHVILLY MISS is more than handy and shows up all the time. is honest and is 3rd up. Goes well in this grade.
Kensington R6 – BM72 Hcp (3YO+) 1150m
The pace will be set by KOSCIUSKO, who you imagine should be hard to beat at this time of year. And today, at huge odds, I think he will be. Is trained here and is very fit.
LONGBOTTOM is 3rd up, is racing well and will appreciate the state of the track. Just needs a fair trip from this bad draw to be in the finish.
A VERY FINE RED resumed from a break last start ion this very grade ay this track on a. heavy track and ran her heart out finishing 3rd. Is much fitter now. Big danger.
Kensington R7 – BM72 Hcp (3YO+) 1400m
I think ASHIM may improve, but would need to. Resumed from spell with a couple of very promising runs and looked likely to go through the grades but form fell away. Give one last chance.
SUPER CONTENDER might be up for it this prep. Returned from a spell in this grade and came from 5th on the b end to run 2nd. Fitter now and this is 100m further. Is ready.
This is a big rise in weight for his very good 5th last start but PROMOTIONS is dropping a long way in class here too. Is super fit and looks well placed.
