T: Kris Lees / J: James McDonald (59kg)
Looked awesome carrying huge weight first up and being too strong late to win in fast time. Only plodded home 2nd up, which happens a lot. Is a Group 1 winner this trip but has never gotten close to Winx when they’ve met in the past. Place.
T: Chris Waller / J: Tye Angland (59kg)
This is as far up the ladder of class as he likes to go. Is honest and strong late but is old and being prepared for the Cups. No.
T: James Cummings / J: Corey Brown (59kg)
Very smart miler when allowed to run on the lead and may have to sit in 2nd as Religify looks to drive forward. Is a Group 1 winner at this track over this trip but that was back when he was a better racehorse. Place.
T: Chris Waller / J: Jay Ford (59kg)
He will make this race interesting at least. Is outclassed but is fast and strong and may take a bit of running down if they leave him alone. Either way though, he gets run over late by a few of these.
T: David Payne / J: Jason Collett (58.5kg)
Classy galloper who just gives his all every start. Will no doubt cross from this gate and be on the premises most of the way. Probably sits 3rd and plugs on to grab that spot as they hit the line. Was good 2nd last start in weaker race and is fitter now.
T: Chris Waller / J: Hugh Bowman (57kg)
Useful mare suited here. Should be in this finish. Ha…..looks a special again! Has won this race past 2 years.
T: Chris Waller / J: Kerrin McEvoy (57kg)
Rates a place chance judging by solid first up 5th in weaker grade behind Comin’ Through. At her very best, she would be a strong contender for 2nd spot. Does have 2nd up form and does look like she is back in style.
T: Chris Waller / J: Glyn Schofield (56.5kg)
Is she the heir apparent once to Winx’s throne? Perhaps. We do know she is in form right now and is very, very strong late. We are not saying she can match motors with the great mare, but she is better than the others so should quinella.
