Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Muswellbrook  &  Goulburn.  Good luck, punters!

I do like a progressive horse. And if he’s bred to swim through all this mud around NSW, even better. That’s why I’m all over EASY CAMPESE here. A few stallions like Mossman, More Than ready and Magic Albert always seem to produce horses that get through wet ground. Well, a new name can be added to that list – Sidestep. He has shown he can get winners but when they hit racetracks they are even harder to beat and Easy Campese, a horse already in form, following his easy maiden win at scone – in the wet – and a placing at Wyong – on a heavy track, looms very large here. Should box seat behind the speed and be too Michael Phelps like late!

Leading trainer Mark Newnham has brought this 3YO DEEP VALUE along steadily but slowly and today they can reap the rewards. She’s only had the three starts but on each occasion, she has taken not only fitness but a bit of knowledge out of the experiences and I think it culminates in a runaway win today. Should sit back in about 6th spot, with cover or even on the fence given his great draw, and produce a powerful burst. Probably wants 150m more but the way she attacked the line in a provincial maiden last start suggests this slightly easier race will suit a great deal.

Top jockey Greg Ryan is rarely wrong when he teams up with trainer Jan Bowen and they do so here with the improving mare EMILETTE. Her run when resuming last start, in this very grade on this very track – which is her home track btw – was outstanding. She was on speed all the way and wilted in the final 100m to place 2nd. Should be fitter now and has proven to be honest. Looks the one to catch.
