Careful Movers 2YO
Two very simple things here. If OFFENBACH wins this, and I suspect he will, then make sure to back Hayek to win the Golden Slipper on your Futures Market. The reason being, Offenbach was a strong 2nd in a recent trial to a horse named Buckeye who had run 2nd to Hayek in a trial start prior – beaten 14 lengths.
Davali BM 68
I really like the look of OAKFIELD HAWK in this. Furthermore, the quinella bet with him and Vaguer looks delicious. It looks a standout wager from where I sit. Oakfield Hawk is trained at the track, won this grade 2 starts back, and last start was 6th in town in a much stronger race. Back to his home land and bam – he flies home for mine.
Red Funnel Mdn plate
I suspect the topweight here JARED will be fully fit now. He has placed at this level on 8 occasions and 3 of them at this track so he is ready. Add to that the fact he is 3rd up here and drawn to get the run of the race, I think he maps to sit off speed and fights it out with local hope Star Of Paris who has been crunched in betting this moning. Prevailing narrowly.
Recognition Stakes
The Annabel Neasham and Rob Archibald stable is on fire. Every runner, all over Australia, seems to be firing and I think MIDNIGHT IN TOKYO continues that trend for them today. Did win 2nd up last prep after running 3rd first up. Resumed this campaign with a stakes placed 3rd so get on.
Tatt's Classic
Gotta follow the class and ABOUNDING is the best racehorse in this field. She was beaten 2.19 lengths by the great Bella Nipotina at her last start carrying just 1.5kg less than her. She resumes here and really, Bella Nipotina would be a $1.09 chance in this.
