STOCKS STAKES
AMELIA’S JEWEL looked good winning the Let’s Elope last time out at Flemington and everything points to her winning again off some nice work at The Valley earlier in the week. Damien Lane rode a perfect last time from the wide draw and look for him to do the same again. She should be winning this on her way hopefully to a Cox Plate start.
MOIR STAKES
After his blistering win last time out in the McEwen Stakes, it’s hard to go past IMPERATRIZ in this prestigious Group 1 affair under the lights of The Valley. There appears to be an abundance of speed in this race and he should be able to camp just off that. Only bad luck should be able to beat him.
R.M. ANSETT CLASSIC
BORN A KING looked a touch unlucky when held up at a vital stage when finishing 3rd behind Young Werther last time out at The Valley. This looks like a nice race for this very consistent seven-years-old gelding to break back into the winner’s stall.
BLACK HEART BART STAKES
Tipping BABY PARIS here to bounce back in this edition of the Listed Black Heart Bart. She had no luck first up from her spell. being held up down the straight and she had trialed well before that run. She has solid second-up stats and hopefully she will get a shot at them this time. She should be hard to hold out at the wire.
BM85 HANDICAP
ZARASTRO proved far too good for his Class 6 opponents last time out here. Drawn low, this classy fiver-year-old looks set to bring up the hat trick. He should get an easy lead again and be the one they will have to catch. Looks to be a good way to finish off the card at Eagle Farm.
