Love past form and this topweight DETENDU has great past form. He resumes here off a good randwick trial win. Previously, when racing he contested 3 of these races and was runner-up in all 3. One of them behind the Gr 1 winner Ducasse. Has to lump a big weight but I see him going forward, sitting outside the speed and his class showing up late. Quinella him with EVERYBODY RISE who has trialled well also.

This looks a race tailor-made for FATHER’S DAY. He likes a firm track, is 3rd up, has run a very fast 2400m in his past and this isn’t overly strong. I’m going in hard.

Love it when a horse is sensationally backed overnight. Craig Williams rides MIO SORRENTO who opened yesterday as a $21 hope. Firme up after a few key scratchings, but really tightened up when a big bet was placed early this morning. Then by 10:30am was a $7 hope, so that just suggests you need to follow the money.
