Robrick Lodge Super Mdn

Canterbury Race 2 (1200m) 1:25 pm

David Payne and Zac Lloyd can land a double today and they start in this race with PERSIAN WONDER. He just seems the class runner having plied his trade admirably last prep in stakes grade. Drops in class, has trialled well and should swamp these. King Of The Top for 2nd.

Bisley Fillies 2&3 Mdn

Canterbury race 3 (1200m) 2:00 pm

Part two of the Payne-Lloyd double right here. The filly KRASINA looks a lock. Is very fit, is better than these which she has proven several times, and should be too swift from Adeleke who should improve on debut 5th.

Tropicus BM 72

Canterbury Race 3 (1900m) 2:35 pm

Tossed up between the top two in the weights Kapakiri and ALLEGRO MISS settling on the latter because she beat the former home last start in a similar race when 3rd and 6th respectively. What made me keen on Kapakiri is, I think being 3rd up he will improve a great deal, but went for the other mare because she is very fit and can sprint hard when called upon. They look the standouts and therefore the quinella.

Racing & Sports BM 72

Canterbury Race 6 (1200m) 3:45 pm

With the scratching of Ready Forcocktails, a lot of money has come in for the Chris Waller trained mare USEAPIN. She was there to win when resuming last start this grade but plodded for 6th late. Much fitter now and the money says she has improved.

F&M BM 70

Sandown race 5 (1000m) 2:45 pm

Lots of cheap speed here. Many of them will drive forward but all of them will get weary. Sooo, process of elimination, I’m on SALUTED. She will sit 3rd just off the speed and is very fit. More importantly, unlike the others, she has won a BM 70 before so can handle the drive to the wire.
