Best Bets – Wednesday 15th July

Lots of speed on in this race and I suspect the bulk of it will come from EVICTION NOTICE. He is fresh here, after 2 really strong trials. I suspect Rachel King takes him to the lead, he controls the tempo, moves 2 off the fence coming to the bend and darts away as they turn hanging tough to win.

Lots of talk around this filly on debut CHANTERELLE and with good reason. Trained by Adrian and Gai, you know she will be fast early, and in her latest trial, on a very heavy track, she jumped, ran them along and then exploded away to win as she liked. Rarely do you see trials that impressive. Looks too fast.

I may be reading the tea leaves wrong, but I doubt it, here. I just think CHAMPAGNE HERO looks a put in take out bet. He sits 4th early, dashes to the lead as they turn and sprints away. Loves it damp underfoot which he gets in this.

Pretty open affair but I’m on one coming back in grade called JARRITO. Ran a courageous 4th last start in a race that was 3 lengths tougher than this. Was 2nd up that day, was 3rd with 100m to go and I just think she’s fitter now and will look the winner at some stage. Is trained here too which is a massive help.

I really think NORDIC STRIKE will lead these and as such spread the field out. He straightens about 1.5 lengths clear and being 3rd up today, along with a handy 3kg claim, he hangs tough to the line and lands the cash from Tan Tat Art. Quinella them.
