Zac Wadick rides FARSET in this for Gai and Adrian. I think he just has to sit and steer because this bloke should lead all the way and win easily.

At midday on Tuesday DEFENSEMEN was paying $14 and that amazed me. Hope it stays that way. He is the best horse in the field, certainly the best of the 5 Waller-trained runners. He resumes here, trialled well and showed stakes quality when in work last prep. Quinella with Klocke.

Tough Super Maiden but in a similar race against a few of these, CLAUDEL was on debut last start and finished hard to run 2nd. Must have taken benefit from that run and looks beautifully placed here. Should finish hard to win from Merini.

Very ordinary field which makes EMBALLEE a threat here.  She is 2nd up and is probably looking for a tad further but she does have a strong finish and I think when they turn for home she’ll look up and see that these aren’t hitting the line hard. So she will. Looks a safe each way bet for mine.

What a great opportunity for boom apprentice Jabez Johnstone to continue his rise to prominence. Gets on board this flying, boom, unbeaten mare TENNESSEE BOUND, who resumes. Is fast, has drawn well and might well be Saturday grade. We should know after this race.
