On debut, this Team Freedman-trained filly GOODNESS sat back worse than midfield at Bendigo and ran home hard late to grab 3rd. This probably a length or so stronger but the experience she gathered, and the extra 200m will be in her favour. I suspect she finishes hard in this.

Not a strong race but that suits OLATUNDE here. He’s had his foot on the till for a good few starts now. Gets back, runs on hard and this track should suit. Mark Zahra aboard now and that extra encouragement should see him sprint hard at the end.

Interesting race. If I’m right this topweight PRESTAR may not know himself in a field quite this weak. He resumes here and even with the big weight, I see him swamping them. He has run nice races in much, much better company. Watch betting.

Ok, I’m all over this topweight ON BROADWAY. She is 3rd up, and she won 3rd up last prep. Was impressive first up winning at provincials then on speed over 1800m and wilted last st6art 2nd up. Back in trip, fitter now, and M. Zahra to ride – I’m getting on at big each way odds. Quinella with Upstage.

At this time of the day on this heavy track, this will be a survival of the fittest down the running. So, I’m on THE EXTREME CAT. Likes it wet, is 4th up, has form this grade, gets a welcome 3kg claim and should plough through the mud the best at very attractive odds.
