Blakes Super Maiden

Hawkesbury race 3 (1600m) 3:15 pm

I was on Chris Waller’s filly here ALMAAZ last start and the Wyong track just didn’t suit her at all. She wound up 3rd in a similar Super Mdn. Fitter now, longer home stretch here and I suspect she charges late to claim Lontrice, who has been heavily supported, for the money.

I like the fact WEST OF DALBY has a 3kg claim here. That brings her right into it  providing she finds her best. Is 2nd up here after failing in first run for 31 weeks but was only beaten 3 lengths in this grade. Should settle about 4th, with cover here, and finish hard.

This looks like a confidence booster for ARRIVING HOME. Good mare who is down in grade following a pair of 9th placings since resuming. Fitter now, looks to be about 6th to the bend and really, she should smoke these. I’m having a good go on her. Luskaire for the quinella bet.

Eagle Farm race 7 (1800m) 4:08 pm

Talk about being wonderfully well placed. I think ADDITION is ready to go bang here. Is 3rd up and dropping in class following a game 4th last start. Doesn’t win out of turn (2 wins from 19 starts) but does look nicely placed and drawn perfectly also.

If you follow me regularly, you know that I am a 100% fan of horses dropping in grade. KOKATAHI is that animal here. Finished 8th last start, but was just 1.7 lengths behind the winner in Saturday grade. This is about 3 lengths easier. Drawn badly but I suspect they will hand up early, settle near the rear, and make a long sustained late run.
