Tough little maiden this. I do love consistency and I always look for class, when they combine I go in head first. I do believe CINSAULT is that horse here. Others will go faster early, but she can sit on the pace and come home hard. Has raced 5 times in this grade and been placed on all 5 occasions. Returns here with 2 good trials under her belt. Hard to beat.

I saw a juvenile at the trials who looked awesome. Looked him up, named CENTRAL COAST and is about the best bred horse in NSW right now, by boom sire Wootton Basset from the top mare Sunlight. Was beaten in his trial but is long and lean and looks like he can really accelerate when asked. Jay Mac rides and well worth the gamble here I think.

Lightly raced but there is a lot to like about this progressive filly TUSCALOOSA GEM. Especially the gate. She has the rails and will be on speed all the ay. Up in class following an easy win at Pakenham but lots of things, including the amount of wagering on her, suggest she has strong claims.

I can’t see why DEFINING can’t win this. She is talented, is a Saturday grade runner, goes well fresh and is in here with a weight that makes her very competitive. Has trialled well twice so should be ready. Last win was this time last year on a Saturday in town and in a BM 78. This is much easier. Watch betting.

This filly STOKKE had 152 days off from racing when she resumed at Warrnambool. She led that day and was run down late. Then at Sandown two weeks later she led in a BM 74 and led all the way to win comfortably. Is super fit, very fast and tougher now. I suspect from this great gate she lobs on the bunny and runs away from her rivals again.
