Briga Fliedner Mdn
Weak maiden on paper – that’s based on form to date – so I’m keen on the chances of the unraced WEASEL SEA. Gets the big weight but has shown great speed to win 3 jump outs on the trot and there have been some handy ones in his wake. Not a great draw here so watch betting moves but he looks to be well up to this. Exit Strategy for 2nd.

I just loved, loved, loved the way this lightly raced galloper TAXATION trialled the other day. Sat behind them, kept deliberately looking at bums and was only allowed to run with 50m to go. It looked like an old fashioned, ‘hold her behind the pack so we get a price first up’ type of trial. I’m getting on and quinella bet is with Manukau.

I’m full expecting star rider Zac Lloyd to grab a race to race double here after winning on Taxation. He rides SUIT OF ARMOUR in this who is fitted by 2 runs from a spell, latest when an unlucky 6th. Extra trip suits a great deal also.
Toyota BM 78
At the weights I’m on RUINATION here with Tommy Berry to ride. Is 2nd up from a spell and down a little in grade. Did win 2 easier races last prep, one when 2nd up and should settle back a tad worse than midfield and charge late. Quinella with Nana’s Wish who resumes.

I have a sneaking suspicion this lightly raced bloke LOUD CHARLIE may be Saturday grade. If so, he storms over the top of these. The market says he’s ready to fire.
