Wet tracks will play havoc today but in this race, TEHINA actually excels in the wet. Her only win was on a very damp soft track which she gets here. Today she is 3rd up and being on the rails I see her staying there just behind the speed before accelerating to the front. Hyperbolic won a recent trial and looms as the one to beat for quinella players.

Interesting race in the sense that I think ALPINE SKI should be a $1.60 chance, but the market had him at $2.10 this morning. I do suspect a tidal wave of money to come for him closer to start time. Money is there also for Extreme Diva but I suspect Alpine Ski goes hard from gate rise and sits on the outside of the leader. Does have a Super Mdn placing on soft ground and that’s a big tick for this. Quinella them.

This filly PIPERITA who resumes here after 2 unplaced runs to start her career, has been backed as if unbeatable overnight. You have to follow that lead. She can run time too having last prep broken 1.23 for 1400m when beaten and looking at these nothing in this field can run that fast.

I really think you should get on this young bloke GLOBAL ECLIPSE. He’s raced just once for a solid 2nd this grade and because it was a mile first go he just looks to tighten up a great deal and be cherry-ripe for this. Money has come for him too. Looks the pea for mine sitting in about 3rd spot to the turn and racing away from Hot Too Go. they should quinella it.

Tough little race with a couple of promising babies engaged. I think the topweight FACILLITATE has the speed to jump and cross to the fence which may be the best place to be as the rain probably will be falling in this race. That makes him the one to catch and after opening his career with a good 2nd at this level he should strip fitter and hang on. Sisstainable can run on into 2nd.
