Not a race to get truly wound up about but given many tracks lately are flattering and favouring leaders, I’ll back SPACE ACE in this. Has that Waterhouse/Bott bone and muscle look about him. Should, at this his 4th start in a race, jump to the front and dictate the speed, accelerating 600m from home, getting a break etc. Maybe the beast battles away to grab 2nd.

Interesting field despite all the scratchings. I kinda think the Newcastle horse TASORAAY may be the pea here. He’ll sit off the speed and come hard. perfectly drawn to receive a lovely run just behind them. Throw in Recruiter for the quinella players.

UP TO MISCHIEF returns to racing here and I think she jumps straight on the bunny and leads these all the ay. had won 3 bush races in a row before going to the city and getting run over. This is easier than last start and has had the benefit of 2 recent trials. Nash rides and he’s the best on a leader.

He was born in Ireland, raced in England and is now here with John O’Shea and Tom Charlton. His name is MAXIMUM DIVIDEND and they should get just that here. Probably sits back in the field but the way he won his maiden last start when resuming over a mile, in a good Kembla mdn field, suggests he can handle this rise in distance and class.

I like it when good money comes flooding in overnight for a horse and that happened here with NOVA LIGHTS. She’s in a  strong stable, is 4th up into this and last start she flew home to place at The Valley in this grade. Longer straight suits here.
