Best Bets – Wednesday 13th November

Gotta love these very open small fields. I’m on the Godolphin mare GLORIOSO. I suspect she is going to be last of the quartet earlier but the big Rosehill home straight will suit and she can finish hard. Her last start provincial win over 1100m suggests this trip will suit. Aye Aye Captain looks to run the quinella for mine.

Tough field but I suspect there are a couple in the market here who are none-winners. So, I’m on the emerging filly BRIGIDINE GAL. She’s raced at this level twice already and both times been placed. Last start was on pace when 3rd and I think she is a much tougher hosre now. Looks the pea to me from Leconfield.

Love a horse who firms up every call overnight and the top weight here KEANE ENUFF did just that. He’s in form, is 5th up, was unlucky 5th this grade last start and is dropping a little in class. Well worth following the money.

Don’t know what happened per se overnight rather than someone was super keen on ARDEN GREEN so they wagered accordingly. He firmed up from $14 into $5 in two minutes. Did the market get it wrong to open with or is there stable confidence? I’m with the latter. He is 2nd up and his opening 4th in this grade when on pace from the get-go suggests he’s back fitter and faster. Watch for more market moves.

I really enjoy backing triers and horses that just run hard to the line every start. So I’m on DRIFT NET here. She’s raced 11 times and been in the top 3 on 9 occasions including a game 3rd this grade last start when resuming, beaten less than a length. Loves it wet and last night’s rain may well suit her.
