Super Mdn Plate

Canterbury Race 2 (1200m) 3:00 pm

A strong maiden field as is the norm with these Super maidens. Lots of early pae and a few potential stars lining up. I’m on the filly SYLPH who resumes from a spell. Finished well when just out of a place at stakes level before spell. And, she looked great winning a recent trial. Should give Tommy Berry the first 2 winners. Looms large from the paemaker Supermassive who should take catching.

Canterbury race 3 (1550m) 3:35 pm

Yet another crack field of midweekers, a few of which will win Saturday city races. I like SWIFT LEGEND to run over Big Tiger. They have met before and Swift Legend prevailed that day, yet gets .5kg off Big Tiger here. That’s because the latter was backed off the map and won a super maiden last start in grand stayle. He probably leads so Swift Legend gets the last crack. Quinella them.

Canterbury race 5 (1900m) 4:45 pm

I’m banking a fair bit on potential and breeding here by tipping the Les Bridge-trained INSPIRED LEGEND. He scored at the provincials over a mile and just looks like this extra trip will suit. Is up in class but is 3rd up here. Quinella with Placid Pearl.

Caulfield Race 7 (1600m) 4:55 pm

I love the conditions, barrier draw and opposition here for EMPIRE OF PAIN. Jumps straight to the front and leads all the way for mine. I’m having a good go.

Caulfield race 8 (1200m) 5:30 pm

This Ciaron Maher mare, TENNESSEE BOUND, might be very smart. Is fast, unbeaten in 2 starts and should lead these a merry dance all the way. Lake Forest can run 2nd.
