Brave Smash Super Mdn
What a chess game this one is. Ten runners, nine of them trained by Chris Waller. Soooo, which one do we choose? Well, I suspect the only non Waller runner, Jet will lead and do so at a good clip before he is swamped in the straight. I really like the gact young Siena Grima is on ICHIBAN KOJI who is 3rd up here. Mainly because she takes 3kg off his back and that is significant. Has a great draw too so sits in about 5th spot to the bend. Obviously Snitzel Miss and Konsa will run home hard but the weight pull gets me in.
All Too Hard BM 72
Last prep this Joe Pride mare INDEFENSIBLE scored and she is 3rd up here after a slashing 2nd this grade last start. Is trained here and is very nicely in at the weights. Wondereach can run 2nd for the quinella.
BM 64 Hcp
I’ve never been a huge fan of these midweek staying races because it’s hard to catch the winner. Changes every week it seems. But, I have and always will be a fan of horses coming back in grade. Sooo, I’m on FORMAT here who looks nicely placed with the 2kg claim. Should lead and if they just plug along mid stages, which they should, he kicks clrear as they turn and hangs of from Bearings who last prep was racing against better horses too.
Myplates BM 72
The good draw, the quality of opponents and the fact she is 2nd up makes me think AMREEKIYAH can play a big part in this. She is pretty handy this grade, is genuine and most importantly, she is already the subject of some big bets. Get on.
Peninsula Mdn Plate
I’m not a big fan of getting on unraced types, but I do follow the money a lot in making tips and having bets. In this instance, the tidal wave of money that has already started flowing for INSPIRING is just that – inspiring. No official trials or jump outs, nothing known other than he’s by Impending and trained by Greg Eurell. But we do know about the money – hmmmm!
