Drinkwise 3YO Mdn
This newcomer ETON, whose parents are superstars, may well have inherited a fair chunk of their abilities. He has trialled twice and run rippers both times. His mother, English, was a star sprinter and I have no doubt he will be in this finish.
Exceedance 3YO Mdn
Looks like a good few who who like to lead are in this, so I am going to plump for MERGEILA – simply because she will take a sit in about 3rd or 4th behind the breakneck pace. Gets the jock, Jay Mac and the perfect inside gate to be right there saving ground. Is fitter following her first-up 3rd in this company. Quinella her with newcomer Northern Eagle who won a trial well.
Vale Graham McNeice BM 72
Last prep the Peter Snowden 4YO, NEED SOME LUCK, was showing good ability. He’s won at similar level and this time up recently won a trial in grand fashion also. He might be a Saturday grade horse resuming here. Only lightly raced so expect a bold showing. A truckload of money was invested on him in one go during the night!
BM72 Hcp
What I like about this race is that the toppie, GLOUNTHAUNE will roll to lead and sit there on his own while a bunch of stayers find their feet behind him. Around this track he can dictate the tempo from there, kick on the bend and prove too hard to run down. He is big odds too because Rachel King who rode him last start, has jumped off onto the fav Just Glamorous. MISTERKIPCHOGE is looking for further but he can run on well in to 2nd.
Evergreen BM 64
Gotta like it when a horse is resuming and the money pours in. We have that here in Mark Zahra’s mount TREASURETHE MOMENT. Won a maiden before spelling and resumes here. Is lightly raced on clearly on the improve. Firmed overnight from $4.50 into $2.80 and I suspect more money will come. Have a wager too.
