Schweppes 2YO Hcp

Kensington Race 1 (1400m) 11:40 am

Hard to imagine in my mind anything beating RIPLEY here. He’s had one start, ran on well for 3rd in town over 1100m and with the tempo being easier midrace here, and him being a darn bit fitter, I see him just going bang late and winning comfortably from Philatelic. Jason Collett has the mount.

Kensington Race 3 (1400m) 12:50 am

I just love these types that are bred to stay who run really well on debut in short races. Like CHARLEROI. He steps from 1250m to 1400m here and is fitter. He also has the experience now and he is by Dundeel. So, they are all backable improvements. Should dash home late with She Rex. Back him and have the quinella.

Ole Kirk BM 72

Kensington Race 4 (1250m) 1:25 pm

Just a case of following the money here. Last prep IVAN’S HERO had 4 starts and was soundly beaten in all of them. ALL races were stronger than this but he was spelled and well, is back in this. And he has been heavily wagered upon so he must’ve spelled very well. Chris Waller trains.

Hylands BM 64

Kensington Race 7 (1800m) 3:10 pm

It took SWELTER some time to find her feet but I sense she has now. This is start number 9. Two runs back she was mid pack until the bend and sprinted hard to win a BM 64, which this is, at H’bury. Then she stepped up to Gr 3 grade and was strong late beaten 4 lengths when 8th of 15. This is a big drop in class.

Bendigo Mazda BM 58

Bendigo Race 6 (2200m) 3:20 pm

Have to look at form and class of race here when finding the victor. I’m on topweight TEWKESBURY because he is very fit and is dropping a few BM levels in this. Ran 4th last start here. Ready to run a blinder from Chocolate Royal who has also been heavily tried.
