Asahi 3YO BM 68

Rosehill race 1 (1200m) 2:25 pm

The world will be watching Nitro after the way he stormed to victory on debut. But, while it was impressive, he beat nothing and goes up in both grade and weight here. So, I like ZEBRA FINCH to upset him. He has a new stable now, is still a colt and resumes here. Being a colt means his connections rate him, and so do I.

Inglis Super Mdn

Rosehill Race 2 (1400m) 3:00 pm

Gai and Adrian present a pretty handy type here in BIG TIGER, a fast son of So You Think. He was really strong on debut in a similar maiden on debut when 3rd. Miss Lola beat him home but his was the better run. He’s drawn perfectly too.

Kia Ora BM 64 Females

Rosehill race 4 (1500m) 4:10 pm

There are a few whose last runs were more impressive than BEVERLY HILLS when she saluted at Newcastle, but this filly is entered all over the place in good races so they must think highly of her. Led all the way last start and seems to be getting better with racing. Quinella her with Empress of Japan who is 3rd up and last prep, won 3rd up.

BM 66 3YO+ Hcp

Caulfield race 5 (1600m) 3:45 pm

A progressive bunch who have all had similar types of wins at the provincials etc. I like the emergency who has gained a run namely TOUCHDOWN. He scored at Sale then backed it up 2nd up when a close 2nd in a stronger Ballarat race. This is tougher again but 3rd up and well supported overnight suggests a bold showing is expected.

Caulfield Race 8 (1200m) 5:30 pm

Think I’ll wager on Craig Williams’ judgment here. He has form on others but chose this mare, TERILEE who resumes from a spell. And, there has been money for her. Is already a city winner so the good draw and the confidence in wagering suggest a big showing.
