Hyland Colours BM 72

Canterbury Race 4 (1900m) 3:20 pm

I’m going for some value here. SACRO CATINO isn’t overly smart but he can hit the line and drops in grade a little here from a fine and a little bit luckless run on a Saturday last start over 1800m. Finished 3 lengths back but was hitting the line well. Extra 100m is in his favour and he has performed at this track. Quinella with The Years who will be near lead all the way.

Asahi BM72

Canterbury Race 5 (1250m) 3:55 pm

This CENTRAL COAST is the youngest horse in this field. He’s also, at just 2 starts, the least experienced but I think he is the best horse and as such will finish too hard for these.

Storage BM 66

Sandown race 6 (1300m) 4:05 pm

I like the look of this topweight here NIMBUSTWOTHOUSAND. He seems to be getting better with racing. Had to sit on pace after drawing badly last start at seymour and was still too good. Sits behind speed this time with better alley. Big show. And, has been heavily backed.

Star Turn BM 72

Canterbury Race 7 (1550m) 5:05 pm

Good race with a few hopes but doing the maths, and working out the order etc, I think UNITED KINGDOM can win. He will come across from out wide and find cover midfield I think. Has had one start this prep when 2nd this grade then had a trial so should be cherry ripe. The Replicant is in great form and should be in the fray for 2nd too.

Evergreen BM 78

Sandown Race 8 (1400m) 5:15 pm

Tough race to end with but RAIKOKE is 3rd up and gives the impression this trip will suit. Gets back and runs on. At good odds he’s an each way hope for sure with this long straight.
