Ole Kirk Mdn
Get on WEST HEAD. He sat 3-deep all the way at Wyong, a track that just didn’t suit him last start yet he flew home over 1300m to claim 3rd in a similar race. Will settle better here and has the rail to follow this time. Extra trip helps too and is fitter. I like him a lot. Delrico will be hard to beat too.
Inglis 3YO Mdn
The improvement curve shown from the first start to 2nd start by CREPE MYRTLE was so profound that it’s a fair bet that the upward curve has continued here into her 3rd start. So, on that basis and the fact she can run home hard I’m on her to knock this long odds on fav Queen’s Rhapsody over here. I think the fav is looking for further. Quinella them.
Arrowfield BM72
The boom on this lightly raced Peter Snowden-trained filly TUILERIES is very large. So much so after opening at $2.25 on Chrismas Eve, she was backed into $1.75 early this morning! I suspect the market will correct itself closer to race time and the evens or at worst $1.90 will be bet. But, follow the cash. She looks special.
3 & 4YO Bm 64
This is one of those races I really want to watch. Mainly because I suspect this filly VANESSI may well be Saturday grade and who knows even better. If so, 3rd up here, she should smash these and I think she will. Chris Waller trained and Jason Collett to ride. Winning combo me thinks.
Clan O'Sullivan 2YO
Take note, this 2YO FALCON GOLD is racing in this race on Friday at Canberra. And I think he wins. Perfectly weighted with 3kg claim in this big set weights race, perfectly drawn in gate 2 and is having his 2nd start, which is a drop in grade from the 11th of 14 at Randwick on debut. Got back to last early that day, then couldn’t get a clear run as they turned for home and went to the line beaten 6 lengths and not allowed to stretch out. He was $201 that day and should have nearly run a place. This is a fair bit easier.
