Darren Galley Mile
Going to tip KALKALLO to bounce back here at Flemington today. Only went down narrowly last time and although he has drawn wide, he should get back and run on. He meets Zourain 5kgs better this time around for that narrow loss and the mile will suit him.
Eric Musgrove
LIBERAMI looked very strong running out the 1800m last time and looks well suited for the rise in trip to the 2000m. Drops a kilogram in weight and this race doesn’t look much tougher. He looks extremely hard to beat.
Kingsford-Smith Cup
JOLIESTAR was enormous at her last run in the All Aged Stakes when went down narrowly to Jimmysstar at Randwick. She has had a 6 week lay-off and had a tick over trial at Warwick Farm a fortnight ago. She has an outstanding fresh record and although she has drawn wide, she may prove just too good for these.
Queensland Oaks
BENAJIL got a long way back last time in The Roses at Doomben and was beaten 7 lengths by Philia who dominated from the front. Forget the run and give her another go. She was simply brilliant winning the Australasian Oaks at Morphettville and this time around she has drawn well compared to her main rival.
Queensland Derby
Will be having a throw at the stumps again on FIRM AGREEMENT in the Derby. Went back to the tail in the Rough Habit last start and worked home late but was just too far back in the run. Drawn much better here, hopefully he will sit closer and the 2400m of this race looks ideal for him.
